Reports to: ED/ Groundswell international, RWUA (Agroecological based livelihood through community mobilization project)

Summary of Job
Rural Women Upliftment Association (RWUA) is seeking a qualified and experienced Project Coordinator (PC) for the Agroecological-Based Livelihood Through Community Mobilization Project. The PC will work closely with women’s groups, supporting them in adopting natural farming practices and addressing challenges faced by farmer groups. The role requires 70% field engagement to oversee and support program implementation alongside the JTA and 30% office work focused on reporting, coordination with the executive team, and networking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support to JTA in an identification of ultra poor HHs for farmer group formation and group registration in Municipality-Agriculture/Livestock Division.
- Initiate natural farming within different farmer groups.
- Identify and resolve farming-related issues faced by farmers in the field.
- Promote agroforestry and animal husbandry as a part of integrated natural farming approach, among farmer groups.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, Semi-Annual and Annual budgets, and ensure implementation according to the budget.
- Submit daily, monthly, quarterly and annually documents to the organization as required.
- Support JTA on demand collection of on-farm/off-farm materials from farmer groups/entrepreneurs and their timely distribution.
- Regular observation of agriculture farms and provide technical support to farmer groups on cultivation technology, day to day field management, disease/insect control and post-harvest management.
- Support JTA on nursery management training, production management training, post-harvest training, IPM training, vermicompost preparation training, mushroom production training, local resource person (LRP) training, saving & credit training and as per requirements.
- Identification and selection of resource persons or training institutes to conduct various types of training for farmers, local youth, and youth farmer groups.
- Support microentrepreneurs to prepare business plans of their microenterprises.
- Support farmer groups to establish good marketing channel of their produced items.
- Track monthly/yearly data (farmer group, ME/VT/farmers income, lease land, ME/VT/farmer’s children education and disability) and other activities related data on Online Program Management Information System (OPMIS) in coordination with JTA.
- Ensure timely implementation of the project activities in accordance with the work plan.
- Document best practices, lesson learned and success of the project.
- Coordinate and mobilize resources with municipalities, districts, local-level stakeholders, and donor organizations to ensure the smooth execution of the program/project.
- Support immediate donner/organization for planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of Agroecological based livelihood through community mobilization.
- Adopt and demonstrate ‘Do No Harm’ policy in each step of assignments.
- The position holder will have to abide byZero tolerance, child safeguarding, protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment (PSEAH) policy including RWUA code of conduct. S/he will have to maintain dual adult rule while visiting/meeting children.
- The other tasks are assigned by your immediate RWUA and Donner Supervisor.

Program Planning and implementation
- Support to the Project donner/organization in planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation, reporting and management of overall project.
- Ensure timely implementation of the project activities in accordance with the work plan.
- Mobilize, manage and assist to JTA for effective and timely implementation of the planned activities in assigned Municipality.
- Build functional networking and professional relationships with the stakeholders including government, media, communities, civil society and donor agencies to receive their support for collaboration and smooth implementation of the project activities.
- Represent the project in meetings with government agencies, donors and NGOs as well as in seminars and workshops as necessary.
- Attend and participate in specified meetings with national, district and local level stakeholders and ensure good collaboration and communication.
- Organize regular coordination meetings and feedback session with program staff.
- Plan and ensure the timely procurement of materials needed for workshops, training and the equipment for the project activities.
- Share and inform the Project donner/organization about encountered challenges, cultural components and further training needs for the staff and other stakeholders.
Field monitoring, Coordination and Reporting
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor the project activities, guide & assist sub-ordinates and supervise performances of staff.
- Documents and compile research, best practices, lesson learned and success of the project.
- Assist Project donner/organization in development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and plans for effective implementation and management of the project activities as well as to record, document and measure the project success and challenges.
- Maintain regular contact with all the national, district and Municipality level stakeholders in the district for better synergy in implementation.
- Review and check data collected and submitted by JTA, ensure consistency and processing for further reporting.
- Assist Project Donner/Organization in writing monthly, quarterly and annual reports of the program.
- Organize monthly monitoring with programmatic checklists and develop reports with well and measurable recommendations.
- Collect, compile and submit case stories on a quarterly basis.
- Collect information to create a video documentary highlighting the positive impact on beneficiaries, target groups, or farmers.
- Follow up and monitoring of the community-based monitoring register and support to Donner/Organization for monthly updates in Monitoring/Issue Log Book.
Accounting and Reporting.
- The Project Coordinator must be knowledge on purchase goods in accordance with the procurement/Admin finance policy of RWUA.
- Proper manage all the documents of goods distribution in field and tracking of that utilization by beneficiary .
- The Project Coordinator must complete and update accounting tasks, including recording, entries, and reporting.
- Proper knowledge on Ms. Excel
- Payment to different suppliers by account payment checked.
Well-being
- Ensure that all staff members in program team are feeling comfortable in the job and team and inform the Project donner/organization if the employees face challenges or have specific needs.

Minimum required academic qualification and experience
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture (BSc Ag) with 3 years of working experience in a related field within a diverse team, (or)
- Preferable Master’s degree in Agriculture (MSc Ag) with 2 years of working experience in a related field within a diverse team.
- Proficiency in writing and speaking English, Nepali, and the local language.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
- Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and strong email and internet skills.
- Ability to coordinate with local-level and district-level government structures such as Ward, and farmers.
- Capability to work under pressure and within tight timeframes.
- Previous working experience with NGOs, INGOs and related.
