RUWDUC, established in 1995 with the objective of empowering and uplifting disadvantaged women, adolescents and children believes that every human being has an inherent right to a healthy life, equal opportunities to education, employment, quality health care, and access to justice, and to live a violence-free and peaceful life, devoid from all forms of discrimination.
RUWDUC is implementing ‘Let her voice be heard “Transformative Leadership of Women Leaders in Nepal -TWLN’. Partnership with OXFAM. The goal of the project is Women and Girl hold positions of substantive and broad leadership in Nepal development. This project will create enabling environment for women and girl’s leader for meaningful and substantive position in over governance process at all level. Therefore, RUWDUC is seeking job applications from qualified Nepali nationals for a maximum of 7 months fixed term contract with possibility of extension for the following position:
1. Job Title: Project COORDINATOR (PC) -1
2. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- PC will be based at RUWDUC Office at Dadeldhura and frequent field visits. First few months may require to be stationed at project implementing areas to understand project area and local stakeholders. Prepare Annual Work Plans of project, as guided by the project document, and review and revise the plan on monthly basis. Develop Terms of Reference (TOR) for project activities and ensure their smooth and quality implementation along with timely documentation and reporting.
- Qualitative Reporting with quantitative date of project tasks include event reporting, monthly reporting, quarterly narrative reports, annual project reports along with case stories and success stories of the project.
- Identify key stakeholders at local, province and national level and coordinate with them for their participation in the meetings, and workshops.
- Close coordination and collaboration with local government agencies and like-minded organization for the integration of project activities including women led business support, GBV survivors support etc with them and even for the budget allocation for target groups for their empowerment initiatives and sustainability of WLPs and Youth networks at local level.
- Close coordination and collaboration with provincial and federal level women leaders’ networks for lobby, influencing and advocacy initiatives.
- Host workshop at Province and national level with the identified stakeholders of women access to larger network and leadership platform.
- Assist partners in development of data collection tools, coordinate in field level data collection, and support to disseminate data through various mediums.
- Plan budget requirements for all activities and project along with assisting finance officer for timely financial reporting.
- Provide supervision and direction to the Field Officer, social mobilizer to conduct and report regular activity of Women Leadership Platform, Youth Network and to manage other filed level activities and for the capacity enhancement as per the need
- Ensure that all cross-cutting issues such as governance, social inclusion and equity are applied in the project interventions to achieve the project goal showing clear and quantifiable improvements in target areas.
- Make sure that database for project activities is established and updated and ensure that relevant programmatic information systems are readily available at office.
- Coordinate with Executive committee, and Executive Director as and when necessary, in planning and implementation of the project and financial management as well, such as develop and submit all periodic/programmatic reports/papers timely including other works, as required.

3. Requirements/qualification of Project Coordinator (PC):
- Master’s degree in social science, in Social Sciences, having more than Five years of experience working in similar positions.
- Experience in team management, team building, and result-oriented work.
- Experience in organizing training, facilitation of workshops, and other capacity-building activities.
- Good interpersonal and analytical skills
- Knowledge of GBV, VAWG, harmful social norms, its effect on women leadership, women rights and women leadership along with familiarity of related stakeholders.
- Familiar with working modality of non-governmental organizations.
- Having prior knowledge of Local level of Dadeldhura or have worked in, Sudurpashchim Province.
- Can organize Advocacy and Leadership related province, national level workshops with participants from the government.
- Fluent in writing (typing) and speaking English & Nepali languages written (typing) and spoken. Ability to understand and communicate people in their local language will be an asset.
- Presentation skills to highlight the areas of success and failures with qualitative and quantitative data.
- Ability to work in busy working environment, handling work pressure and meet deadlines.
- Leadership, time management, good coordination skills, and efficient team player.
4. Duration: The probation period will be for 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on the project need and the satisfactory performance of the candidate.
