Center for Public Health Development (CEHED) is a national, non-governmental organization working in the field of health sector of Nepal. CEPHED began operations in Nepal in 2063, and since then has implemented projects in health.

Center for Public Health Development currently invites applications from all potential Nepali candidates for the following positions:

Project Coordinator – 1 (Kathmandu based with field visits as per requirement)

Scope of work

  • Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Executive Director, the Project Coordinator will provide support to the management of the Shelter Homes in 10 places of 5 districts (Ramechhap, Dolakha , Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchowk and Lalitpur) . The Project Coordinator will be responsible for regular coordination with UNICEF for project implementation.

Essential responsibilities 

  • Responsible for the prepare implementation plan and implementing of project activities at the field activity level.
  • Monitors program progress on a regular basis, collect and analyze relevant data and a prepare reports.  
  • Conducts site visits and supervise field level staff.
  • Coordination with UNICEF, District Health Office, Hospital, PHCC and Health posts.
  • Represent CEPHED at official forums as requested by the ED (Executive Director)
  • Coordinate with logistics in order to ensure that there is no break in project supplies
  • Submit timely monthly report with reliable data and proper analysis and action points to deal with any project problems
  • Undertake other program, financial and administrative tasks on an ad-hoc basis

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Public Health with clinical background preferred
  • Previous program/project management in health programs
  • Previous  experience in  training , monitoring,  working with a program budget
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions with limited supervision and to travel in field.

Field Officer – 2 (Kathmandu based with field visits as per requirement)

Scope of work

  • Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Executive Director, the Field Officer will provide support to the management of the Shelter in 10 places of 5 districts (Ramechhap, Dolakha , Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchowk and Lalitpur) . 

Essential responsibilities 

  • Support for the preparation of implementation plan and implementing of project activities at the field activity level.
  • Monitors program progress on a regular basis with site visit, collect and analyze relevant data and a prepare 
  • Coordination Hospitals, PHCC and Health posts.
  • Coordinate with logistics in order to ensure that there is no break in project supplies
  • Support monthly report preparation. 

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Public Health or health science or clinical background with bachelor in any discipline. 
  • Previous working experience of health programs and projects. 
  • Willing to travel in field.

Admin/Finance officer – 1 (Kathmandu based)

Scope of work

  • Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Executive Director, the Admin/Finance Officer will provide support to the finance and administrative management of the project. 

Essential responsibilities 

  • Administer and monitor the financial system, in order to ensure all the program finances are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Main the accounts payables account receivables systems in order to ensure the complete and accurate records of all the transactions.
  • Provide efficient and effective office management.
  • Coordinate within the program team. 
  • Reporting the daily work reports to program director.
  • Perform other administrative duties as per the request by executive director or as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in business studies/business management.
  • Previous working experience. 

MNH/PHC Mobilizer – 30 (Field based)

Scope of work

  • Under the direct supervision and guidance of the project coordinator and in coordination of field officer MNH/PHC Mobilizer, work for the management of the Shelter in 10 places of 5 districts (Ramechhap, Dolakha , Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchowk and Lalitpur) . 

Essential responsibilities 

  • Manage shelter in coordination of local health facility.
  • Provide services to the clients referred form HFs and respective government offices.
  • Support to conduct PHC/ ORC clinic to HFs
  • Provide Health education sessions in shelter houses, health facility and ORCs
  • Provide health care services in coordination of HF staff in shelter home if needed.
  • Conduct and manage women and child friendly spaces in shelter houses

Requirements

  • PCL in nursing/ Health science/ ANM/CMA with health councils registered.
  • Previous working experience of health programs and projects. 
  • Preference will be given to SBA trained candidates
  • Willing to travel in field.

Helper/cook – 20 (Field based)

Scope of work

  • Under the direct supervision and guidance of the in-charge of shelter, the helper/cook supports in the shelter of 10 places of 5 districts (Ramechhap, Dolakha , Sindhupalchowk, Kavrepalanchowk and Lalitpur). 

Essential responsibilities 

  • Support in the shelter for cleaning and cooking.
  • Provide support as per shelter need.

Requirements

  • Nepali citizen 
  • Preference will be given to the candidates, who are local, Can read and write
