Background
Pravasi Nepali Coordination Committee (PNCC) is a non-profit, non-political organization established in 2009 by returnee migrant workers. PNCC is dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights and well-being of Nepali migrant workers and their families. PNCC operates nationally and internationally with a wide network and collaborates with government bodies, community organizations, and international agencies.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator (Part-Time, 50%) will lead the implementation of project activities, analyze project data, contribute to proposal development, prepare reports, and coordinate with partners. The position demands strong project management, communication, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project activities' planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Analyze migration-related data, case records, and outreach reports to prepare project documentation and reports.
- Coordinate digital outreach programs, awareness sessions, and community mobilization events.
- Develop Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials.
- Maintain strong communication with diplomatic missions, diaspora groups, community organizations, and stakeholders.
- Assist in case management system documentation and reporting.
- Support project monitoring, evaluation activities, and learning processes.
- Represent PNCC in relevant meetings, consultations, and collaborative platforms.
- Support advocacy and policy engagement initiatives related to migrant rights and labor migration.
- Design new project proposals based on PNCC's strategic goals and donor interests.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by the organization.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Migration Studies, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in project coordination, preferably in migration, human rights, or international development.
- Master's degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Migration Studies, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in project coordination, preferably in migration, human rights, or international development.
- Practical experience in designing project proposals for donors.
- Strong knowledge of labor migration issues, migration services, and Nepal's foreign employment policies.
- Competency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Nepali.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and digital communication tools.
- Knowledge of case management systems, knowledge management, and M&E frameworks is advantageous.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.
