ADRA serves in more than 130 countries to bring long-term development programs and immediate emergency response to communities through a network of global offices. Since 1987 ADRA Nepal has operated portfolios in the Health, Economic Development and Livelihood, Education, and Disaster Risk Management sectors.

ADRA Nepal has received funding from European Union to implement a project entitled “Local Initiatives to Reduce Impacts of Climate Change (LIRIC)”. The project aims to contribute towards reduced poverty and secured livelihoods by enhancing resilience of poor and vulnerable communities to climate change impacts. The project will basically focus on three components: mobilize grass-root CSOs on climate issues, promote climate adaptation/mitigation technologies and practices and collaborate with Local Governments to create an enabling environment for climate resilient development.

Project Coordinator (Bardibas, Mahottari based): One

  1. Qualification and Competencies:

Master’s degree in Agriculture or related field with minimum of 5 years of experience in climate change issues and governance at local level, impact on agriculture and livelihoods, and community level adaptation/mitigation actions. Prior similar experience as Project Coordinator/Manager is highly desirable.
