Program Leader
Voices of Women Media aims to build feminist leadership and effect changes in society’s treatment of girls & women in order to create a just world without discrimination. VOW Media wants to contribute to a world where everyone enjoys their basic rights and live with dignity, equality, and justice. We are a non-profit organization that is committed to offering access and opportunities to media technology and different forms of art, so that girls & women can voice their own lives – in order to raise hidden and silenced issues in our communities. Our work focuses specifically on access to media, arts and technology for girls and women. We also run various campaigns which plays a role in contributing to cultural & social change in our communities. Telling one’s own story—claiming one’s voice—changes a person and a community in ways that support larger social change by building agency as well as both individual and collective power.
Details / requirements:
Voices of Women Media is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic program leader who will lead our Techno Hub project and be responsible for guiding and mentoring young women to use technology and multimedia tools to further feminist leadership. The candidate understands that creating social change needs time, love and passion and is willing to work for it.
Main tasks as a Program Leader
- Design and deliver engaging training programs focused on technology and multimedia. This includes workshops, training sessions, and hands-on projects.
- Develop instructional materials, online resources, and digital content that can be used for training.
- Promote innovative learning by encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving using tech tools.
- Build relationships with local government, community organizations, schools, and tech companies to create partnerships and provide resources to young girls.
- Monitor and assess the progress of youth participants, track outcomes, and prepare reports on program effectiveness.
- Innovate, adapt and modify program based on feedback.
- Stay up to date with technological advancements.
- Emulate Feminist values in practice, especially during interaction with young people.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree
- A feminist
- An activist
- At least 3-5 years of experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring capacity, particularly in technology or multimedia-related fields.
- Comfortable using multimedia tools such as graphic design software (Adobe, Canvas), video editing tools (Premiere Pro), and multimedia content creation.
- Confidently leads workshops, manage groups of young adults, and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, community partners, and youth groups to enhance the program.
