Post: Program Assistant: Champions of Change Package Contextualization (A social Behavior Change Communication Package)

Skill Information Society Nepal (SISo Nepal) established in 2003, a national level non-governmental, non-political and non-profit making organization is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Officer for Contextualization of English Modules developed for Social Behavior Change Communication to develop competency among adolescent and young people of diverse society of Nepal; into Nepali language including adaptation and development of new modules on DRR, WASH and climate change.

Key responsibilities:

  • The key responsibilities but not limited to contextualization (translation of English document into Nepali language, develop contextualized modules into Nepali language), revise incorporating feedback received from the reviewer/experts ensuring alignment while addressing local in close collaboration and coordination with the Program Officer, Program Director and other project team.
  • Coordinate for and organize workshops, meetings, trainings; and pretesting of CoC modules in Kalikot/Jumla, Bardiya and Dhanusha, incorporate feedback and support in finalizing the modules districts and in close coordination with program officer and program director.
  • Work in collaboration with donor agency, partners and beneficiaries to ensure project activities are culturally appropriate, inclusive, and sustainable.
  • Support in developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools and strategies when necessary to track progress, develop progress report, build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Represent the project and organization professionally in public settings. 

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Public Health or Equivalent. Similarly, understanding of social behavior change communication, participatory methodologies and community engagement, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills is desired. Excellent proficiency in reading, writing and Typing Nepali and English is mandatory.

Contract Details: Three-month contract with the possibility of extension, renewal based on performance.
