BANC Nepal is a Nepali Private Company established under the Nepal Company Act 2063 is a service-oriented organization formed with the motive of providing mental health services in Nepal through awareness programs, clinical services and mental health research to highlight the need in the country. 

BANC Nepal seeks competent, committed and result-oriented candidates for the following position:

Job Title: Program and Admin Officer

Job Station: Kathmandu (requiring travel to project sites)

Job duration: 1 year with a possibility of extension

Number of openings: 1

Start date: At the earliest

Responsibilities:

The Program and Admin Officer will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

  • Co-ordinate with partner organization(s) and relevant government authorities 
  • Handle logistic in the official events (training and workshops)
  • Handle basic accounts and financial management of the organization.
  • Assist the management team to prepare communication materials for social media platforms
  • Deposit TDS, and verify E-TDS as per the prevailing Income Tax Act of Nepal.
  • Ensure monthly disbursement of salaries, rent, utilities, and other payments.
  • Keep the transactions up to date on ledger books, Excel sheets, and relevant accounting systems.
  • Collects and file pending invoices and supporting documents ensuring compliance with Activity financial procedures.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits, prepare required documents, and follow up on internal control systems.
  • Provide support to project team during events which include preparation of agendas, supporting in logistics and preparing meeting minutes, etc.
  • Support in program development, grant writing and submission
  • Work closely with the Executive Director for overall programmatic and administrative events.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Immediate Supervisor.

The suitable candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in psychology in Business Administration, Public Health, Social Work, or related fields.
  • Minimum one year of experience in program administration.
  • Prior experience of working in community-based mental health prevention and promotion programs will be an added value.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Nepali and English languages.
  • Willingness to travel to the project sites.
  • Having a driving license for a motorbike or scooter will be an advantage.
