ECC Nepal is looking for a personal assistant and communications manager for the managing director of our organization. ECC Nepal is working in Dailekh to bring quality education to remote rural communities. www.eccnepal.org

Position: Personal assistant and communication manager

Objective of this position: This role is to assist our managing director with admin, communications, donor updates, and social media.

Position details: This role is a remote position and is part time (10-12 hours a week). The employee can work from home and communicate with our team digitally.

Contract: 3-month trial period, then 6-month contract

Remuneration: Negotiable 

Reporting to: Employee will be reporting to our managing director who is a foreigner, living half the year in Nepal. All communication will be done in English.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organizing, uploading, and storing media for donor communication
  • Managing all emails and communication with foreign donors
  • General administrative tasks for the managing director and organization
  • Writing basic blog posts about our work and updating our website
  • Overseeing our communications and media plan each month
  • Creating content and posting about our work on various social media platforms (Instagram, facebook, linked in)
  • Engaging with donors and supporters through social media and digital content
  • Creating and editing newsletters about our work
  • Helping to create simple graphics for social media and digital newsletters

Necessary qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any subject
  • 100% fluency in English (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to use Gmail, Google Docs and Googlesheets
  • Understanding of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) and how to post effectively across all 3
  • Ability to create and edit reels for Instagram and Facebook
  • Basic graphic design skills (understand of Canva is a big plus!)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Confidence to draft and write newsletters and blog posts independently
  • Ability to problem solve or learn as you go
