Body & Data is a non-profit, digital rights organization dedicated to creating accessible, safe, and just digital spaces for all. We aim to increase the engagement of women, queer and marginalized groups in digital spaces through the adoption and promotion of suitable strategies to express themselves while practicing their autonomy and agency. Key Responsibilities

Operations Strategy & Management

  • Oversee the administrative aspects of the organization for day-to-day functioning and overall development.

  • Support the conceptualization, planning, and strategizing of programs, including HR and operations agenda, with respective programmatic teams to meet the organization's strategic and overall goals.

  • Support the Executive Director (ED) and Board of Directors (BoD) in developing, implementing, and amending organizational policies and guidelines.

  • Coordinate and evaluate projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget, including managing the approval, evaluation and other government processes with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), ward, municipality, or any other relevant administrative divisions.

  • Observe workshops and events run by Body & Data and provide review and assessment.

  • Communicate with the team and the board to ensure all relevant personnel are up-to-date regarding ongoing activities.

  • Oversee and manage organizational economy, budget management, donor and governmental reporting on financial and compliance components.

  • Evaluate and improve operational processes to ensure they are inclusive, equitable, and aligned with feminist principles.


Human Resource Management and Wellbeing

  • Manage and ensure the skills, orientation, attendance, and appraisal of staff members as per organizational policy.

  • Develop staff and consultant contracts and ensure timely payment.

  • Lead the recruitment process by overseeing job description creation, scouting for candidates, conducting interviews, screening, and onboarding new staff.

  • Facilitate grievance and dispute management in coordination with the management and resolution teams, as per organizational policy.

  • Promote a learning environment within the team to support overall organizational and human resource development and regular capacity building.



Expected Skills and Experience

  • Master’s degree or higher in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or other relevant degree.

  • Two or more years of experience in operations and human resource management, preferably within the non-profit sector.

  • Experience in managing teams and projects, handling human resources issues, overseeing budgets and operational processes, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

  • Effective leadership skills to guide and motivate teams, manage performance, handle conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with employees and stakeholders and drafting clear and effective reports and presentations.

  • Strong understanding of and commitment to digital rights, intersectional feminist principles, and social justice issues.
