CRS Nepal

CRS is an international NGO based in the United States that works in over 100 countries to promote human development by responding to major emergencies, fighting diseases, poverty, and nurturing peaceful and just societies. CRS started its operational presence in Nepal in response to the 2015 earthquake, providing immediate emergency response in multiple districts and earthquake recovery support. CRS Nepal has been coordinating the reconstruction through the leadership of the National Housing and Settlements Resiliency Platform (NHSRP), formally known as Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (HRRP) since March 2017 to provide technical and information management support to relevant national, provincial and local governments. Similarly, CRS expanded its programming to other disasters responses (Lamjung, Jajarkot) in country as well as other sectors, namely Livelihoods, DRR and Climate Change. CRS Nepal is also implementing a USAID-financed livelihood technical assistance program, Farmer to Farmer (F2F), in Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

CRS is an international NGO founded in 1943 in the United States and has been working in more than 100 countries around the world supporting the most vulnerable communities to rebuild their lives, alleviate human suffering, advance full human development, and foster peace and justice. In Nepal, CRS has supported over 30,000 households and communities to rebuild their homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods from the devastating 2015 earthquakes.

Over the past eight years following the disaster, CRS has emerged as a key stakeholder in the initiative for "Resilient Nepal". The contributions are evident through its emergency response, recovery and reconstruction programming, provision of technical assistance, and coordination support to government authorities and Partner Organizations (POs). CRS also leads the National Housing and Settlements Resilience Platform (NHSRP) and the implementation of USAID supported Farmer-to-Farmer in Nepal.

CRS is seeking a media consultant to produce video and audio Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials on shelter/housing recovery and preparedness to respond to the 2023 Jajarkot EQ in Karnali Province. CRS would like to invite media consultants with Shelter/Housing Recovery and Preparedness IEC development experience to submit a Quotation. All relevant documents (SoW and Instructions for Quotations) required to submit the quotation can be obtained in the LINK HERE. Interested organizations are requested to submit their completed application form and other supporting documents by email to np_procurement@crs.org before 5 pm on 10 July 2024.

The consultant selection will be based on their expertise in audio and video IEC development and other criteria as outlined in the application. Preference will be given to media houses who have recently developed IEC materials on shelter recovery for government institutions.
