Local Adaptation to Climate Change (LACC) Project
The Local Adaptation to Climate Change (LACC) Project promotes sustainable and inclusive livelihoods and natural resource management in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces in Western Nepal. LACC supports local communities to adapt to the impacts of climate change and environmental changes, aiming to secure livelihoods and improve living conditions. LACC will apply a landscape approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of ecosystems and human activities, addressing complex environmental, social, and economic issues holistically.
The 5-year project is funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Government of Nepal and the European Union.
LACC Project hereby invites applications for the following position, from interested Nepalese candidates. (Click on the links below for the more Job details):
- Natural Resource Management Experts (NRM) (twelve positions)
Following general principles and procedures are applied in
the recruitment of the open position:
- Applications for the position must be submitted by using the Google Form application that is provided in the link to the vacant positions. Each applicant is allowed to submit only one application.
- Each candidate have to attach their CV in the application by using a specific CV template that is provided in the link to the vacant position. After modifying the CV, the candidate has to submit the CV in a PDF format in their application in a section specified in the Google From. Candidate has to change the CV file name by using their own name accordingly: "CV_lastname.firstname".
- The applications and CVs that are done in any other formats or that are submitted through other channels, will not be considered in the recruitment.
- Due to high number of applications, we are unable to respond to additional inquiries.
- Applications sent after the closing date cannot be considered.
- Applicants are not allowed to contact, with the purpose of influencing the selection, any present staff or member of recruitment team during the recruitment process. Such influencing attempts might lead to disqualification of the applicant.
Steps in the recruitment process:
- Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for interviews and job specific tests. All interviews and tests will be conducted physically in Surkhet in Karnali province.
- The recruitment team might also reach out to wait listed applicants that might be invited for interviews and tests later.
- Each shortlisted candidate must bring original versions of academic certificates, work experience letters and other certificates as listed in the CVs to the interview in Surkhet. If the information given in the CV and/or application form is misleading and supporting documents are not submitted, the candidate will be disqualified.
The application period is open until 23.59 NPT on Saturday the 1st of March 2025.
