Nepal Integrated Development Society (NIDS), a non-profit social development organization based in Sarlahi district, is currently implementing the project titled "Empowering Women through Mithila Art, "funded by the USAID Civil Society and Media (CSM) Program with The Asia Foundation as the lead implementer. The project is based in Madhesh Province, aiming to reduce gender and caste-based discrimination and patriarchy in Chandranagar Rural Municipality, Sarlahi District. Eligible candidates are requested to apply for the following positions:
1. Position: Project Coordinator – 1
The Project Coordinator (PC) is responsible for implementing project activities in the field in close coordination and collaboration with local government. S/he will ensure that project interventions are timely and effectively implemented in compliance with planning and expected results. The role includes supporting effective coordination and collaboration with local government and other organizations in the project area, managing budget, work planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities at the local level. S/he will work closely with the group and municipality, track activity delivery as per the plan, and prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Final reports, submitting them timely to relevant agencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preference for a Master’s degree) in development studies, public health, gender and development, or other social sciences, with a minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years with a Master’s degree in local-level project implementation.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to travel and stay in rural areas.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Local language skills are preferable.
- Strong training, coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills.
- Strong community mobilization skills.
- Strong coordinating and monitoring skills.
- Ability to work independently and under strict deadlines.
- Should have a motorcycle with a valid license.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
2. Position: Program Officer – 1
The Program Officer (PO) is responsible for implementing the sub-grant at the field level and managing the on-the-ground execution of community engagement initiatives related to the fund’s educational projects. This role involves coordinating with local stakeholders, community leaders, and the project team to ensure effective program implementation, monitoring progress, gathering feedback, and addressing any challenges that may arise.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 years of experience in development studies, public health, gender and development, or other social sciences in local-level project implementation.

- Willingness to travel and stay in working areas.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Local language skills are preferable.

3. Position: Finance and Operations Officer – 1
The Finance and Operations Officer will perform daily financial and administrative activities, including financial reporting, various administration, and finance activities, communicating with the funding agency, monitoring the budget, forecasting, and other project implementation-related work.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in management or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the same field.
- Prepare vouchers with supporting documents and other necessary financial data entry.
- Lead petty cash maintenance, prepare cash vouchers, and replenish according to established petty cash levels.
- Maintain and safely back up finance-related documents and data.
- Regularly track bank statements and deposit taxes as per the rules.
- Maintain and update staff personal files and leave records.
- Conduct field visits and provide onsite coaching and verification.
- Familiarity with accounting software, preferably FAMAS, is preferred.
- Lead logistic support in arranging workshops, seminars, training, and visitors.
- Ensure both incoming and outgoing mails/documents are properly managed.
- Check received goods and required documentation, as well as goods to be dispatched, and prepare necessary documents.
- Manage and document all administrative and logistic requirements, ensuring proper backup of electronic and hard copy documents.
- Manage and track program supply distributions.
- Assist with market surveys and physical verification.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
4. Position: Social Mobilizer – 1
The role of Social Mobilizer (SM) involves conducting comprehensive needs assessments to identify gender and caste discrimination in program development and address those needs. They assist in resource allocation, organize training and professional development for counselors, collect data, and evaluate program effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- At least a Proficiency Certificate level passed.
- Must be a permanent resident of Chandranagar Rural Municipality, Sarlahi.
- Willingness to travel and stay in rural areas.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Local language skills are preferable.
- Ability to coordinate with governmental and non-governmental organizations and support structures at the local level.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
