We create digital discourse to expand civic space and make communities more inclusive, resilient, democratic, and peaceful.
Job Profile:
FS is working to voice the concerns of vulnerable and marginalized communities through producing diverse yet highly attractive and engaging audio-visual contents. FS is committed to building knowledge and skills of members from these communities on the appropriate uses of digital media space to flourish their narrative. We are working to support them on producing high-quality audio-visual stories and audio drama in the form of TikTok videos, Instagram post/reels, YouTube shorts/videos, Facebook post/stories, Anchor podcast and Snapchat and strengthen their movements.
The Multimedia Officer will work as a core team of the company, where he/she will be responsible for the research on using digital tools to flourish freedom and justice, technical trainings to young community members, pre-post video/photo production, graphics designing, sound designing and supporting in managing social media platforms. He/She will work directly with Creative Director and Multimedia Officer of the organization in pre-production, production and post-production of the contents.
This position is on a contractual basis. We expect daily seven hours of work commitment from Sunday to Friday.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manage, coordinate and supervise photo/video pre and postproduction including story building, script writing, camera work, editing and publishing.
- Provide technical trainings to fellows and community members on using digital tools for expanding freedom and justice.
- Coordinate and supervise fellows and community members on developing artivism contents.
- Proactively identify and pursue story ideas for online platforms.
- Develop and utilize multimedia products for greater engagement of online audiences.
- Develop and support audio and visual work initiated by Creative Department.
- Frequently coordinate and communicate with team regarding multimedia engagement.
- Develop, analyze and share monthly work progress.
Qualification and skills required:
- Experienced with camera handling and software uses: Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Aftereffects, Final Cut Pro X and 7, SoundTrack Pro, and Adobe Audition.
- Skills of photography, videography, and ability to create original illustrations.
- Hold relevant bachelor’s degree (for example: Film making, Multimedia Technology etc). with at least two years of relevant experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of current trends in photography and videography including social media.
- Effective communications skills and extensive experience to plan and accomplish goals.
- Good command on Nepali and English language (both writing and speaking).
- Have access to own laptop, tablets and/or smart phone. High-Capacity desktop will be provided in the office.
- Hardworking, adaptive, result oriented and a good team player.
- Flexible work timing. Willing to work on off days and public holidays.
