HPF is a Danish NGO that has been working in Nepal since 2017 and Kenya since 2018. HPF aims to improve the quality of education, health and livelihood of the rural people of Nepal and other parts of the world.  

HPF adopts a unique approach to develop children's potentials and create a better future for them. With our 'child-empowerment model' that puts the child at the centre of our intervention, HPF focuses to develop not only the academic skills but also social, emotional, cultural and interpersonal skills so that every child develops its potentials to pursue his/her career to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives.

HPF has its engagements with the rural communities of Nepal since 2014. Currently HPF is working in 4 districts of Nepal i.e. Taplejung, Terhathum, Panchthar and Dhankuta. With our Child Empowerment Model, we support public schools to construct school buildings, school toilets, to install labs and libraries and to improve learning activities at the project schools. 

Currently, we work with 140 schools. Our work is funded by various donors and channelized through Human Practice Foundation, Denmark where we report to each individual donor against what they have supported for. To further facilitate the work on the ground, to carry out effective monitoring of the activities, its documentation and reporting to the donors, HPF is looking for the following:

1) Monitoring, Documentation, and Reporting Manager - 1 

Key Responsibility: 

A. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

  • Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework as per the organization’s program.
  • Design data collection tools, methodologies, and perform to track project process and outcomes.
  • Conduct regular field visit to monitor program activities, ensuring adherence to the project plan and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Provide technical support to field staff in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data.
  • Analyse data to assess program impact and generate actionable insights.

B. Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive and systematic record of all project’s activities, outcomes and learning.
  • Develop case studies, success stories and best practice documentation to showcase program achievements.
  • Ensure proper archiving of program documents.

C. Reporting: 

  • Prepare high quality reports for donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the communication teams to share through newsletters, social media and other platforms.
  • Rest as per the required by line manager.

Qualification and Experience: At least master’s degree in social /development subjects or relevant areas with minimum 5 years or more experience in monitoring, documentation and reporting area preferably in the education sector with I/NGOs.  

Skills and competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Nepali.
  • Proficiency in data analysis.
  • Familiarity with education policies, challenges and opportunities in Nepal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to meet tight deadline.
  • Person with positive attitude, willingness to learn will added advantages.

Reporting: This position reports to the Country Director of Human Practice Foundation, Nepal.

Contract Period: This is a Country Office based position with an annual contract and its ongoing renew with satisfactory work performance.
