ETSC Nepal is looking for qualified candidates for the following position:
Post: Monitoring and Evaluation ( M&E Officer )

Job Purpose:
M&E Officer will substantially contribute to the results-based monitoring framework and strategies and operationalizing the monitoring and evaluation plan and related systems. She will have a key technical role in improving the quality of results tracking and reporting and in strengthening institutional monitoring and evaluation capacities. She is expected to work in collaboration with thematic project team of ETSC Nepal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of project quality, using appropriate monitoring tools.
- Monitor project activities based on quality benchmarks.
- Lead in maintaining beneficiary tracking sheet up to date.
- Ensure and capture learning from quarterly review and reflection.
- Oversee implementation of M&E systems through regular field monitoring visits and tracking of Key Performance Indicators.
- Support management and accountability through routine, accurate collection and reporting of information that confirms status of project activities based on log-frames.
- Facilitate the trainings and learning sessions among the target groups.
- Conduct support supervision and provide feedback to the project staff.
- Maintain issue log sheet both from communities and staff.
- Track the performance of the project activities and outputs against expected results and adjust implementation processes to ensure the project is progressing towards the intended outcomes.
- Analyze the impact of projects and promote learning by documentation of best practices. Use this information to support decision-making processes.
- Track program progress, projects’ expenditure against approved budgets, anticipate any deviations and recommend and take action on relevant and required adjustments.
Education:
- Bachelor Degree of Mass Communication and Information Technology (IT), Social Science, Management, Public Administration or related field.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Up to one years' experience in the area of results based management, monitoring and evaluation, statistics and/or research methodologies.
- IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and email internet.
- Strong skills in written and spoken English.
- Data analysis skills and familiarity with statistical software.
- Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills.
- Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team.
- Flexible and open to learning and new experiences.
- Commitment to ETSC Nepal values.
- High level of personal integrity with strong work ethic.
