Introduction:
The Mess Waiter is responsible to the Mess Manager/ assists Mess Manager for the smooth functioning of the BGN(P) Mess’s outlets (Bar, dining hall and Mess accommodations).

This position is advertised at 40 hours per week in shift system.
Job description:
- In charge of all the accommodation store /mess property store/ Bar store and Accommodation Services Unit (ASU) items store.
- Making sure all the “Mise en Place” in hand and be physically responsible to execute day-to-day tasks, running of dining, bar with support of mess waiters.
- Produce and clear visitors’ mess bills prior to their departure in liaison with line managers.
- Carrying out bar stock check daily and collect the bar chits for enabling for further accounting process/mess bill.
- Checking standards and preparation of rooms for visitor’s use.
- Reporting all breakages, damages, and losses of Mess property ASAP to the Mess Manager.
- Any other task directed by the Line Manager.

What you will be doing:
Responsibilities:
- Checking cleanliness of all the Mess outlets including toilets.
- He/She is to ensure that healthy stock of wine and other drink is maintained in order to meet the daily consumption.
- He/She is to take a lead for setting up bar with the help of mess waiters at every function.
- Receiving drinks and associated amenities from suppliers or duty-free store and ASU Store for mess use and cross checking to be carried out as per the list.
- He/She is responsible for collecting documents from Dispatch desk in a daily basis.
- He/She is to stand in for Mess Managers duty while Mess manager is on leave.
- Carry out any other tasks as directed by the Line Manager.

You must have:
- Excellent written/spoken English and Nepali language skills.
- Proven experience and training are essential for this role to deliver the job responsibility effectively and efficiently with good sense of customer service.
- ‘3 years’ experience with SLC/SEE education is essential.
- You should have good Knowledge of Health and Safety / Food safety / Fine Dining / Food and Beverage Service skill / First Aid and General knowledge of mess accommodation.
- You should have leadership to carry out assigned tasks and Clerical skill with IT knowledge for the role.
- You will be assessed on your English language skills, IT skills and Mess Waiter skills test to qualify for interviews during the sifting and selection process.
- Having a Hospitality Qualification is an advantage.

Salary 66,242.00 NPR per month (Permanent).
- Gratuity after completing 3 years’ service.
