Health Foundation Nepal (HFN) is recruiting for medical Officer position to implement Integrated Mental Health programs based in Dang district.
Responsibilities in short:
Supervise psychosocial counselors and make weekly rounds to see the patients who have significant mental illnesses as referred to by counselors at a psychiatric care and rehab center. Provide basic mental health services in consultation with psychiatrists. Refer complicated mental health cases to a psychiatrist or nearby health centers with psychiatric services. Evaluate follow up cases of mental illnesses and even do initial evaluations of any patients with mental illnesses. Provide support to raise mental health awareness at the community level and clinic- based psychosocial counseling. Work to strengthen the integrated Mental Health program and the Static and Outreach Clinical program in Dang district.
Min. Qualifications
Registered Medical Doctor (MBBS) with relevant experiences and interest on primary health care, health research and clinic management.
