Level: C1

Duration: Open ended contract

Location: Bangladesh, Nepal and the Philippines (hybrid working possible with base of operations within country head office).

The Role 

Oxfam GB is looking for an experienced Service Operations Manager within our Asia region to plan and manage information technology (IT) activities. This involves leading a regional service desk and matrix management of IT staff across the region.

The role is heavily involved in stakeholder relationships, with a goal to exceed customer expectations and meet defined service level agreements (SLAs). The team is also part of a global service delivery, maintaining “follow the sun” IT support for colleagues in the Africa, MENA and the UK.

The role can be based in the following locations where Oxfam can host staff within the Asia region: Bangladesh, Nepal, and the Philippines.

What we are looking for 

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be/have.

  • Fluent in English; both spoken and written to business grade.
  • Experience in managing and working effectively in a changing IT services environment.
  • Experience managing performance of others and helping people to develop, grow and achieve their potential, including increasing diversity and inclusion in teams and/or workplaces. 
  • Substantial experience in the following:
    • ITIL processes (incident, problem, availability, capacity etc)
    • Cost management and budget support. 
    • Service quality and continual measurement 
    • Staff management & team building 
    • Supplier management

Desirable

  • Experience in managing a changing environment. 
  • Good knowledge of technical infrastructure and their interdependencies
