Multi-dimensional Action for Development (MADE Nepal) is national organization working with target groups concerned stakeholders for improving livelihood and nutrition condition of people. The main areas of interventions of organization are social mobilization of community people, Economic Empowerment of target groups, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Eco-tourism and Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). It has worked mainly production, value chain and market system development in agriculture sector in 35 districts of Nepal.

Job Description for “Local Resource Coordinator (LRC) based in Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality (Banke) and Siyari Rural Municipality (Rupandehi)”

Project: "Piloting Collaborative Action Plan led Policy Changes for Agriculture and Fisheries using PDIA: A Learning Framework for Rapti Sonari (Banke) and Siyari (Rupandehi) Rural Municipalities”
Project Brief:
This project aims to pilot and refine collaborative action plan-making processes in the agriculture and fisheries sectors in Rapti Sonari and Siyari Rural Municipalities using Problem-Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA). Instead of piloting policy outcomes, the focus is on how actions are developed processes that foster inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable action plans with municipalities with wider impact potential for smallholder farmers.
The lessons learned will build local capacity to replicate and sustain effective action plan-making processes, ensuring ownership and adaptability to address future challenges.
Location: Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality (Banke) and Siyari Rural Municipality (Rupandehi)

Timeline: March 15, 2025 - December 31, 2025
Responsibilities:
Conduct coordination and collaboration efforts between the rural municipality, agricultural actors, consultants and other relevant team members ensuring effective and efficient information exchange.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local government officials (municipality), community leaders, and other key stakeholders.
- Support core Project Consultants to plan, implement and monitor activities
- Support the core Project Consultants to liaison with various municipal and provincial stakeholders to manage and conduct facilitative programs
- Ensure communication between the core Project Consultant team and other
- Coordinate and manage field visits among core and supporting consultants
- Manage stakeholders and consultant coordination during field visits and facilitative programs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the project team with local partners and program
- Stakeholders, including municipality, local chamber of commerce and other relevant local partners.
- Assist stakeholders in action plan implementation through constant follow-up, by providing access to relevant resources, tools, and information necessary in coordination with the core Project Consultant team in Kathmandu.
- Assist with report writing, including case studies and event completion reports, in coordination with the project team based in Kathmandu.
- Identify best practices and tools to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall outcome of the Project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project coordination, business development, or a related role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with local government structures and community dynamics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
