SWAT Labs is a Nepal Standard Accredited lab dedicated for professional quality analytical testing of Drinking Water & Wastewater (Physical, chemical and Microbiological), Soil quality analysis, Air quality and Noise level monitoring for the customers and for the compliance requirements of the various infrastructure projects. We are competent team of Engineers and Researchers working for various Private, Government and International Development Agencies. Our mission is to provide accurate and timely technical investigation of environmental quality parameters at nominal cost.

Job Description

Position: Lab Coordinator

Position Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Perform lab analysis of Water, Wastewater, soil quality, Air quality and Noise level by following the standard SoPs
• Overseeing daily lab activities, ensuring efficient workflow
• Managing lab schedules, equipment usage and personnel assignments
• Implementing and maintaining Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality control (QC) programs.
• Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) and updating them as needed.
• Ensuring all the lab instruments are well calibrated and maintained
• Keeping records of instrument performance and maintenance logs
• Reviewing and validating lab results for accuracy
• Preparing technical reports and submitting findings to clients, regulatory agencies or management
• Supervising lab technicians, analysts and assistants
• Organizing training programs for lab personnel on safety, new techniques and SoPs
• Implementing Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations in the lab.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering or related field
• Proven experience (more than 1 year) in an environmental laboratory management and operations
• Hands on experience with analytical instruments (e.g., spectrophotometers, AAS and Flame photometer)
• Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
• Basic Understanding of ISO 17025:2017
• Strong Organization skills to manage lab schedules, inventory and staff
