Procurement of Smart Phones for CAC-Nepal

1. Community Action Centre-Nepal (CAC-Nepal) invites bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of Smart Phones.

2. The bid amount must include all applicable taxes and office delivery logistics arrangements, where applicable.

3. The expected quantity and amount for the bids are 315 Smart Phones at NPR 30,00,000 (Rupees Thirty Lakhs only, inclusive of all applicable logistic costs, VAT, and applicable taxes).

4. Technical Specification of mobile set:

We are in search of a smartphone that meets or exceeds the following specifications:

• Operating System: Android (Preferrable)
• Supports GSM, HSPA, and LTE networks.
• Dimensions: Approximately 164 x 75.2 x 8.3 mm (or similar, up to 75.6 x 8.5 mm)
• SIM: Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by)
• Type: IPS LCD or better
• Size: At least 6 inches or more
• Resolution: Minimum of 720 x 1600 pixels with a 20:9 aspect ratio and around 270 ppi density or better
• Card Slot: Supports micro SDXC (dedicated slot)
• Internal Storage: At least 32GB with 2GB or 3GB RAM or more
• Storage Type: eMMC 5.1
• Main Camera: At least 8 MP with autofocus and LED flash
• Video: Capable of recording at 1080p@30fps
• Front/Selfie Camera: At least 5 MP
• Loudspeaker: Included
• 3.5mm Audio Jack: Yes
• WLAN: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct
• Bluetooth: Version 5.0
• Capacity: Minimum 5000 mAh or more, non-removable
• Charging: Supports 10W wired charging or fast charging preferrable
• NFC: Not necessary
• Radio: FM radio (market/operator dependent)
• USB: micro USB 2.0 with OTG support

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the address given below not later than one week from the published date of this notice.

6. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be obtained by interested bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below.

7. Electronic copies of bids must be submitted to the address given not later than 5:00 PM on 9th August 2024.

8. Bids will be opened by the CAC-Nepal Office, Kathmandu/representatives through online meeting at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, 13th of August 2024. The link for the virtual bid opening meeting will be sent to bidders prior to the day of the meeting. 

9. Bidders must provide a bid security in the form of a bank guarantee. The bank guarantee must be 2.5% of the expected bid amount, along with other required bid documents during the submission of the bid, with a validity period of 30 days from the date of goods delivery.

10. CAC-Nepal will notify the bidders about the bidding results and completion of the entire procurement process through email or message.

11. To ensure the safety of our office staff members; disruptions during the bidding process through the use of force, fear, violence, arguments, using loud aggressive tone and profanity to interrupt any part of the bidding process will not be tolerated. Bidders engaging in such actions will be automatically disqualified and permanently barred from participating in any future bid openings by CAC Nepal.
