Trainee Opportunity

Practical Action announces a trainee opportunity for fresh women graduates in communications, journalism, business development or any other related field to work for Practical Action Nepal Office. 

About the role

The trainee will work with the Media, Reputation and Content Team of Practical Action, as assigned by the International Stories Advisor. The trainee will contribute to ensuring that Practical Action’s evidence of impact and work is kept up to date and is easily available for all colleagues to access and understand. Additionally, the trainee will provide support for tasks assigned by other members of Media, Reputation and Content Team as needed. 

The trainee will be responsible:

  • To upload new content collected from the field in the content banks hosted in the SharePoint and OneDrive
  • To label the photos and videos in the UK and country content banks
  • To manage a spreadsheet of the new content collected and update the information spreadsheets in the content banks
  • To support finding photos and videos for required communication materials
  • To transcribe the interviews and translate Nepali interview into English as and when needed
  • To support identifying Hero stories from the content collected
  • To collect content from project sites 
  • Any other task as requested by line manager and their line manager

About you

You have a master’s degree in communications, journalism, business development or any other related field. You have willingness and enthusiasm in working with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team. You have strong communication skills and fluent in spoken and written English. You have a good learning agility and a zeal in applying your knowledge in a practical field.
