Social Empowerment and Building Accessibility Centre Nepal (SEBAC-Nepal), registered in 1997, is a leading national level NGO in Nepal, serving the marginalized, disadvantaged and poor communities. SEBAC-Nepal has accomplished around 96 multi-disciplinary projects benefitting to more than 12 million population across 44 districts over the last 27 years.

SEBAC-Nepal works in six thematic areas; Livelihood/ Agriculture/Economic Recovery; Rural Infrastructure; Nutrition, Health and Education; Governance, Gender Advocacy and Empowerment; Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management/Natural Resource and Biodiversity Management/Climate Change. 

SEBAC-Nepal invites applications from young, qualified, energetic and result-oriented Nepalese citizens for the position of Proposal Development & Reporting Officer. 

Designation: Proposal Development & Reporting Officer

Positions: One

Duty Station: Thecho, Lalitpur (SEBAC-Nepal office)

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of work experience working in a similar position. Preference shall be given to young individuals. 

Job Summary:

The proposal Development & Reporting Officer is responsible for supporting all aspects of the proposal development process for international as well as national donors and ensure the timely and accurate submission of quality proposals to meet the organization’s goals and requirements. 

Key responsibilities.

  • Track and research various funding agencies for identifying and tacking funding opportunities and assess the feasibility of potential projects.
  • Support the proposal development process and establish clear responsibilities and timelines for proposal submission. 
  • Conduct research on donors, their funding priorities, proposal guidelines and requirements to prepare quality proposals.
  • Analyze and synthesize data and information relevant to the proposal, including local context and needs.
  • Collaborate with the finance team for developing project budgets that align with the proposal’s objectives and meet donor specifications.
  • Support in research, data analysis and coordination for proposal development process. 
  • Manage project documentation for supporting in report writing for the ongoing projects.

Required competencies and capabilities: 

  • Bachelors’ degree with some experience working in development sector, NGOs & INGOs. 
  • Strong writing skills with excellent command of English language.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent skills in computer (Windows, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Have experience as supporting role in proposal writing, preparing concepts and EOIs including organizational capacity statements. 
  • Good inter-personal skills with learning attitude. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Candidate is compulsorily required to have a valid driving license of two-wheeler.
