Multipurpose Development Society (MPDS) is a Nepali non-governmental, not-for-profit, social development organization, committed to driving positive change and empowerment in Nepal’s rural communities. The organization's vision is to envision a healthy, beautiful, peaceful, disciplined, self-reliant, exemplary, and dynamic society with gender equality.  MPDS has been working with the poor and marginalized people in Sudurpaschim province to empower them for the past 27 years.

In partnership with ActionAid Nepal, the Multipurpose Development Society (MPDS) is going to implement a 10 year  Local Rights Program (LRP) in Parshuram Municipality of Dadeldhura.  In order to implement the LRPs , MPDS announces a vacancy for the following position.

1. Position: Program Officer

Duty Station: Field office (Parshuram Municipality of Dadeldhura)

Required Number: 1 ( One)

Required qualification, skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related field with minimum 3 years working experience in community development, advocacy, project management or related programs.
• Skills in data management, case story writing, photography, and translation (Nepali to English), with proficiency in MS Word and Excel, along with strong communication, planning, and teamwork abilities.
• Strong work experience with children in rural areas and communities.
• Proven experience working with marginalized communities and grassroots organizations.
• Strong understanding of participatory development, gender equality, and human rights..
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advocate for and engage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of rights-based programming, gender equality, and social inclusion.
