Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Children-Women in Social Service and Human Rights (CWISH), a non-profit civil society organization established in 1993 with an aim to ensure social justice, protection and promotion of human rights especially the rights of children and youths, invites applications for the post of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer from interested and eligible candidates (Nepali citizens only) who are reliable, accountable, and have ability to deliver results with highest level of integrity.

With the aim to contribute CWISH goal, the vacancy is called for ‘Power Girls’ project in two Rural Municipalities of Sindhupalchowk from April 2025 funded by Interpedia, Finland. The project aims to address gender inequality and discrimination through improving child rights, especially of vulnerable girls, whose rights are often undermined through discriminatory practices leading to school dropouts, child marriage and trafficking; and achieve the outcome that the girls are empowered to be active advocates for their rights, with their agenda supported by the communities and authorities.

Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

(2 Rural Municipalities of Sindupalchowk, Balephi and Sunkoshi)

Job Summary: 

In close coordination with project team, s/he is responsible for ensuring quality of project activities through the development of effective monitoring plan on the basis of result framework, data management, documentation of achievements, best practices, and case stories, and preparation of report. S/he is responsible to monitor field activities regularly and supervise field staff. This position reports to Project Coordinator.

Key Qualifications and Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in social science or any other relevant field
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in non-government organizations
• Experience in child protection and advocacy project will have an advantage
• Proven experience on data management, analysis and report writing
• Sound knowledge on gender justice, and child rights
• Computer Skill including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email and Internet
• Sense of activism, self-motivated, goal-oriented, enthusiastic and entrepreneurial attitude
• Able to communicate effectively and have good facilitation skill.
• Must be Fluent in English and Nepali (written and spoken).
• Candidate having two-wheeler and a valid driving license will be preferred

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop monitoring tools and ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of project
• Track the performance of field level activities and output on the basis of result framework and provide regular feedback to the team
• Visit field regularly and facilitate field staff to conduct the activities focusing on result
• Collect activity reports from field staff on regular basis and verify them
• Document key reflections on monthly review meeting and submit it to supervisor
• Compile report, analyze data, and document program results, good practices and success stories 
• Submit project progress report on Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Reports
