Community Self Reliance Centre (CSRC)

Community Self Reliance Centre (CSRC) is a non-profit making, non-governmental social organisation facilitating the land rights campaign since 1993 in Nepal. CSRC has been campaigning for comprehensive agrarian reform and the land rights of working farmers and tillers for more than three decades. Through this time, CSRC has worked to organize and raise consciousness amongst those deprived of land rights, build public opinion in favour of progressive land reform, and conduct action research related to land and agrarian issues. CSRC envisions creating a prosperous, democratic, and equitable Nepal where land management is just, and agrarian practices are sustainable.

Details / requirements:

"SARATHI" the project funded by FCDO, is designed to support transformative impact for resilience, adaptation and inclusion in Nepal (RAIN) through a community-led approach and to increase the resilience and safety of the most vulnerable communities and population. The project will be implemented in the Madhesh and Lumbini provinces of Nepal through the consortium partners, which is led by People in Need (PIN).

CSRC is looking for interested and qualified individuals for the various positions mentioned hereunder:

Position: RAIN LG Officer

Required No: 5

Workstation: at LG level in Madhesh Province-2, and in Lumbini Province-3 (Will be responsible to coordinate and work in collaboration with 1 or 2 Additional connecting LGs)

Position Description

The RAIN LG Officers will be responsible for implementing RAIN activities that focus on early warning, early action, community resilience, adaptation, and inclusion within targeted local governments. This role involves facilitating local planning and implementation processes in collaboration with Local Governments (LGs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).

RAIN LG officers will coordinate capacity-building initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of local stakeholders in addressing community needs, particularly regarding early warning, early action, inclusion, and adaptation. Additionally, they will assist CBOs in implementing sub-grants and support thematic leads in carrying out activities on the ground.

Position Description

The Sub-Grant Officer (SGO) is responsible for implementing sub-grant awards based on guidelines, supporting community-based organizations (CBOs) in designing effective implementation plans, and ensuring proper utilization of sub-grant funds through rigorous monitoring and compliance checks. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills to support grant recipients in achieving their objectives effectively.

Position: Admin & Finance Officer (AFO)

Required No: 2

Position Description

Admin & Finance Officer (AFO) will assist with the financial and accounting aspects of the project and ensure compliance with the established policies, procedures and the country’s law. The AFO will be responsible for financial management, budgeting, accounting, payments, and strengthening of the internal control system.  Similarly, the position will provide the necessary support for the administration and logistics functions in the field office.
