Japanese Language Coordinator

Shine Education Services Pvt. Ltd. (SES), Mid-Baneshwor, Kathmandu, has been offering quality counseling in the field of “Study & Work in Japan” since its inception in 2015 through running ‘Study in Japan’ and ‘Work in Japan’ programs for students and skilled & semi-skilled workforce, respectively. Be it studying in Japan or working in Japan, SES guides interested candidates by providing a platform for the preparations and visa application procedures.

Simply the best known for its extensive Japanese preparation classes and counseling, Shine Education Services is seeking for a dedicated and committed Japanese Language Coordinator to oversee various functions of the company including support teaching material development, translation and documentation.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing language support across various functions including developing support teaching materials as required, translation, interpretation, communication, and documentation. This role requires strong linguistic ability and cultural understanding to facilitate seamless interaction between Japanese-speaking stakeholders and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Language Training

• Conduct structured Japanese classes for beginners to advanced learners (N5 and N4) as a replacement language instructor.
• Prepare study materials for tests and examinations when required.
• Guide students for JLPT exam preparations and mock tests.

Translation & Interpretation

• Translate academic documents, brochures, and other materials from English into Japanese and vice versa. 
• Provide interpretation services during student counseling sessions, webinars and other programs if required.

Education Consulting Support

• Assist students interested in studying in Japan by providing language and cultural orientation.
• Liaise with Japanese universities, language schools, and other partners.
• Guide students through admission, visa documentation, and communication processes.

Job Requirements:

• JLPT N3 or higher certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Japanese language or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching or training Japanese is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
• Ability to engage with students and support them in their learning journey.
• Familiarity with digital tools for online teaching (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.).

Desirable Skills:

• JLPT teaching or coaching experience.
• Prior work or study experience in Japan.
• Understanding of Japanese education system and cultural nuances.
• Basic knowledge of visa and admission procedures for Japan.
