APEIRON invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates for the position of Health Staff/Nurse for GBV Survivors shelter home (Casa Nepal).

Purpose: Purpose of the position is to fulfill health care requirement of the Shelter Home.

Job description

  • Assessment of General Health issues of Survivors and dependent children living at Shelter Home.
  • Providing Nursing and First Aid services as needed in shelter home.
  • Conducting Health Awareness Session at Shelter Home and prepare report of the event.
  • Accompanying Survivors and dependent children for Hospital visits and perform all related task.
  • Accompanying Survivors in Hospital at Night in case of emergency.
  • Ensure hygiene maintenance of the Survivors and dependent children living at Shelter Home.
  • Ensure that the medicines are taken by Survivors and dependent children on time
  • Maintain medical record of Survivors and dependent children; filling forms and other related document.
  • Provide basic first aid training to Survivors of Shelter Home.
  • Orient staff and survivors on new health issues and its preventive measures.
  • Research about new health practices and share with staff of Shelter Home.
  • Should be present at Shelter Home any time during the emergency.
  • Represent organization on meeting/workshop related to Health.
  • Should explore on free medical health care services and health camp organized by the government or other organizations.
  • Carryout other duties as per the need of the Shelter Home as assigned by Executive Director and Project Coordinator.

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor in Nursing /Health Assistant/ Community Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Efficiency in Computer skills (MS word)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Knowledge on Gender Based Violence
  • Survivor oriented and flexible to adapt challenging work environment

Job Location: Mulpani, Kathmandu

Type of Employment: Full Time -Contractual, 6 days a week

Contract Period: 1 year, with possibility of extension
