Job Summary: Finance and Admin Officer

Pahichan Nepal is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance and Admin Officer to join our team. The officer will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles and the laws and regulations of Nepal. This role involves financial management, budgeting, administrative coordination, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the organization.

1. Finance and Admin Officer - 1

Location: Kathmandu

Employment Type: Full-time 

Academic Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Studies (BBS) or Business Administration (BBA) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in finance and administrative work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with experience in accounting software.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure periodic reconciliation of advances, outstanding balances, and bank reconciliations, including matching, checking balances, and reconciling project accounts.
  • Responsible for the timely settlement and follow-up of advances.
  • Verify payment claims, ensure budget compliance, and prepare cheques or bank transfers.
  • Maintain accounting records, prepare vouchers, and ensure proper filing and documentation.
  • Ensure timely submission of taxes, statutory payments, and compliance with all regulations.
  • Maintain financial records, including daily financial transactions, voucher preparation, and posting vouchers to accounting software.
  • Ensure appropriate filing and documentation of financial records, maintaining proper custody, archiving with confidentiality and safety.
  • Contribute to financial planning, budget forecasting, and monitoring, including follow-up on Budget Flow and Forecast (BFF).
  • Develop financial management tools such as monthly fund requests, budget preparation, budget revision, and activity proposal development.
  • Prepare supplementary financial information required for various purposes.
  • Provide administrative support for project-related HR coordination and office management.
  • Participate in meetings, training, and discussions to address operational and logistical issues.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent travel to project sites for financial monitoring or administrative assessments.
  • Work with field teams to ensure financial and administrative compliance at local levels.

Job Summary: Madhesh Province Coordinator

Pahichan Nepal is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Province Coordinator to lead and oversee project activities in Madhesh Province. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing project implementation, coordinating with local stakeholders, and ensuring that program objectives align with the organization’s mission. This role involves community mobilization, advocacy, capacity building, and monitoring of project activities to empower single and marginalized women with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, along with experience in gender and social inclusion programs.

2. Madhesh Province Coordinator - 1

Location: Bara district, Madhesh Province

Employment Type: Full-time, Fixed – term contract

Academic Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in program coordination, community mobilization, or gender advocacy.
  • Proven experience in leading multi-stakeholder projects within marginalized communities.
  • In-depth knowledge of gender equality, social norms, disability rights and human rights frameworks.
  • Experience with international organizations, NGOs, or UN agencies is preferred.
  • Fluency in Nepali and familiarity with the local language, with a good command of English.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work in challenging field conditions and travel frequently within the province.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of project activities in districts of Madhesh province according to the work plan. 
  • Manage and support the Field Coordinators, trainers, and project staff in delivering awareness campaigns, workshops, and advocacy initiatives. 
  • Collaborate closely with partner organizations to align strategies, share resources, and resolve any challenges during project execution.
  • Ensure that all project activities align with Pahichan Nepal’s mission and goals. 
  • Organize capacity-building workshops, training sessions for local stakeholders such as community leaders, youth groups, and government representatives.
  • Build and sustain strong partnerships with local government, community organizations, and consortium partners
  • Monitor the progress of project activities to ensure they meet the set objectives and deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit detailed monthly progress reports, collaborate with the M&E team to collect baseline and end-line data for impact assessment.
  • Facilitate joint planning meetings and coordination efforts to ensure the success of the collective initiatives.
