PHASE Nepal is currently looking for suitable candidates for the following position:

Major Job Responsibilities:
- Support the collection of baseline, endline and regular data required for the project using agreed formats/tools.
- Coordinate with local health facilities and relevant sections in the Palika office to ensure the effective operation of the project.
- Organize and facilitate orientation and training for pregnant women and caregivers on maternal and child health.
- Conduct training on primary health care and hygiene practices.
- Organize awareness campaigns in the community on various themes, including hygiene promotion, nutrition, vector and waterborne diseases, prevention of climate-induced health hazards, mental health, and sexual, reproductive, and menstrual health.
- Provide training on mental health for traditional healers, Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs), mothers' groups, and school teachers.
- Organize and facilitate training on correct nutritional practices for pregnant and lactating mothers, including practical sessions highlighting the importance of local produce, nutritional values, and a correct diet.
- Conduct training for village leaders and mothers' groups on health and hygiene to reduce the incidence of vector and waterborne diseases.
- Organize awareness sessions and training for students on sexual, reproductive, and mental health, as well as various themes including hygiene promotion, nutrition, vector and waterborne diseases, prevention of climate-induced health hazards, and disaster preparedness.
- Support the development of educational materials to raise awareness among local people about the impacts of climate change on health, correct health and nutritional practices, sanitation, and prevention.
- Assist in developing materials and organizing awareness campaigns (including radio programs, educational videos, and promotion of materials on relevant municipality social media) to cover the entire Palika.
- Conduct a needs assessment of local health facilities to identify essential equipment needed for responding to climate-induced and regular health services.
- Provide essential nutrition training for pregnant women and mothers of children under five years old.
- Support the organization of Training of Trainers (ToT) for health workers on essential nutrition packages.
- Assist in organizing training on the identification and management of vector-borne and waterborne diseases, as well as climate-induced hazards for health workers (including health post medical staff, FCHVs, and traditional healers) through five 3-day training sessions.
- Facilitate palliative care training for health workers.
- Organize palliative care training for caregivers tailored to their specific needs.
- Conduct training for Health Facility Management Committees (HFMC), FCHVs, and other local stakeholders to build their capacity.
- Support the organization of psychological counseling training for teachers, FCHVs, and health workers.
- Organize regular follow-up meetings with communities, mothers' groups, vulnerable groups, students, and municipality stakeholders.
- Conduct social audits of project activities.
- Serve as a liaison between project areas, the central office, and other health-related organizations as needed.
- Report to health officer on regular basis.
Required skills
- Proven expertise in designing and delivering training, awareness programs etc. particularly in community health, palliative care, climate induced health hazards
- Excellent interpersonal communication, IT and report writing skills
- Willingness on teamwork and creating a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately analyze situations and make well-informed decisions under pressure.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the local context, high degree of morale and readiness to work with vulnerable people in remote isolated locations.
Other Benefits:
We offer each staff a medical Insurance of up to NRs. 2,25,000/- that covers employee and his/her dependent family members up to two, and Accidental Insurance of Rs. 2,000,000/- only for the staff member.
Travel and accommodation cost on actual basis and daily subsistence allowance as per the organization rules for travels outside of duty station.
