PHASE Nepal’s health, education, livelihoods, research and strengthening the concept of independent living projects are currently running across various rural communities in Nepal. PHASE Nepal is currently looking for suitable candidates for the following position:

Job Responsibilities:
- Support and monitor baseline, endline surveys and regular data collection for the project using agreed formats/tools.
- Coordinate with Palika and local health facilities to ensure the effective collaboration for the project delivery.
- Organize/Support project team to organize orientation, training and awareness campaigns for community people, traditional healers, Female Community Health Volunteers, Health Facility Management Committee members, health workers, School teachers, students, pregnant and lactating mothers, care takers as per the project plan.
- Provide training on mental health for traditional healers, Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs), mothers' groups, and school teachers.
- Produce/adapt educational materials to raise awareness among local people about the impacts of climate change on health, correct health and nutritional practices, sanitation etc.
- Develop/prepare and disseminate radio programs, educational videos, social media messages to raise awareness on various issues of health, climate change, mental health, nutrition etc.
- With the project team assess the needs of equipment and medicine for the local health facilities to respond to climate-induced and regular health services.
- Provide essential nutrition training for pregnant women and mothers of children under five years old.
- Organize the organization of Training of Trainers (ToT) for health workers on essential nutrition packages.
- Organize training on the identification and management of vector-borne and waterborne diseases, as well as climate-induced hazards for health workers (including health post medical staff, FCHVs, and traditional healers) through five 3-day training sessions.
- Organize palliative care training for health workers.
- Conduct training for Health Facility Management Committees (HFMC), FCHVs, and other local stakeholders to build their capacity.
- Organize psychological counseling training for teachers, FCHVs, and health workers.
- Organize regular follow-up meetings with communities, mothers' groups, vulnerable groups, students, and municipality stakeholders.
- Organize and lead community health education and awareness programs, with a focus on reproductive health, maternal and newborn care, and disease prevention.
- Develop and implement strategies for sustainable health education programs, emphasizing sexual health, gender awareness, and palliative care.
- Coordinate with local health institutions to strengthen community health systems and ensure active participation from stakeholders.
- Maintain data base of project activities, prepare comprehensive reports of activities and submit them to the project lead in PHASE Nepal and relevant government bodies.
- Manage the timely distribution of training materials, medicines, and equipment required for program implementation.
- Ensure all activities adhere to PHASE Nepal’s and donor guidelines and quality standards.
- Liaise between project areas, the central office, and other health-related organizations as needed.
- Report to the project manager on regular basis.
Required skills
- Expertise in analyzing training needs, designing and delivering training and awareness programs focused on community health and development initiatives, with proven ability to plan and implement effective training activities for capacity building at the community level.
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and professionalism in reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, promoting teamwork and creating a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately analyze situations and make well-informed decisions under pressure.
- Willingness to learn basic indigenous language to communicate with the local community.
Other Benefits:
We offer each staff a medical Insurance of up to NRs. 2,25,000/- that covers employee and his/her dependent family members up to two, and Accidental Insurance of Rs. 2,000,000/- only for the staff member.
Travel and accommodation cost on actual basis and daily subsistence allowance as per the organization rules for travels outside of duty station.
