Details / requirements:

Health Foundation Nepal (HFN) is a non-governmental and non-profit national organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of underserved populations in Nepal through various public health programs and projects. We also respond to humanitarian crises, including disasters and disease outbreaks. HFN is currently seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions:

  1. Health Assistant:  For community-based health research and clinical programs in the Dang district.
  2. Computer Instructor: To implement our Computer Literacy Program in public schools across Chitwan District. This program will potentially cover schools in the vicinity of Raapti, Taadi, Parbatbasti, Khairahani, and surrounding areas.
Position:Health Assistant (H.A): 1 NosComputer Instructor: 1 Nos
Qualifications:PCL in General Medicine (H.A) or equivalent with relevant experiences.Bachelor's degree in Computer Application, Computer Science and Information Technology, or an equivalent field. Or Candidates with a +2-level education in Computer Science and strong computer knowledge may also apply.
Duty station:Ghorahi-6, DangChitwan, Nepal
Key Responsibilities:
  • Screening Clinic and Needs Assessment: Plan, execute and support community-based Non- Communicable Diseases (NCDs) research screening camps.
  • Preventive & Curative Activities: Assist in implementing preventive and curative activities based on community needs and NCD case management.
  • Data Quality & Compliance: Support strengthening data quality and ensure compliance with research protocols.
  • Basic Health Services: Provide basic health services at community health clinics and outreach/satellite  clinic
  • Conduct regular computer training sessions for students at 3-4 neighboring public schools daily.
  • Serve as a district-based Computer Instructor, responsible for overseeing and strengthening HFN's Computer Literacy Program in Chitwan District.
  • Provide computer training to teachers on an as-needed basis.
  • Plan and execute program activities in line with available resources and local needs. 
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with school students, teachers, members of the School Management Committee, partners, local government authorities, district and municipal-level line agencies

Note: 
  • Residents of Dang (local candidates) are encouraged to apply.
  • A two-wheeler for transportation is mandatory.
  • Candidates residing in the Raapti, Taadi, Khairahani, and Ratnanagar areas of Chitwan District are preferred.

Duration: One year (possibility of extension).

Salary: Competitive salary as per organizational norms.
