Deloitte Consulting is seeking highly qualified candidates for the anticipated USAID/Nepal Sustainable Energy Program. This five-year initiative aims to provide secure, reliable, economically viable, and environmentally sustainable power to enhance the lives and livelihoods of all Nepalis. The project is expected to commence in the latter half of 2025.

The project will be executed by a diverse team of technical and operational experts. Deloitte is looking for qualified professionals in the following areas:

  13. Transmission and Distribution Utility Management
  14. Energy Storage
  15. Smart Grids
  16. Productive and Social Uses of Energy
  17. Power Sector Resilience Planning
  18. Climate Change Mitigation in the Energy Sector and Decarbonization Strategies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Applicants should have on-the-ground energy sector experience in Nepal.
  • BA or MA in Engineering, International Development, Energy and Sustainability, Economics, Policy or a related field.
  • At least seven years of experience in the energy sector.
  • Experience working with USAID or other donor-funded programs.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience providing relevant expertise and leadership on development programs, preferably with USAID
  • English and Nepali proficiency (written and spoken) and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
