GEDSI and Protection Coordinator- based in Rautahat District

Key Responsibilities:

The purpose of this position is to support World Vision International (WVI) Nepal’s Sikai Plus Project on project management cycle, implementation of project activities, Gender Equality Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Protection Action Plans related to project and documentation of good practices during implementation of project activities. This position aims to build the capacity of the PNGO (Partner Non-Government Organization) and to meet the requirement of the organization and preposition them for the GEDSI, Protection activities and strategy.

The GEDSI and Protection Coordinator position is responsible for tracking and ensuring performance on Sikai Plus project’s KPIs and commitments for Reaching the Most Vulnerable under WVI Nepal’s and its 2021-2025 Country Strategy. The position supports and strengthens mainstreaming of project management cycle, gender equality, social inclusion and protection in the implementation of Sikai Plus project of WVI Nepal. This position will be responsible

  • to lead, coordinate and monitor implementation of project activities as per Detail Implementation Plan (DIP), GEDSI integration in Sikai Plus project; contribute to ensure GEDSI transformative approach in the project. 
  • to coordinate, provide technical support and review and monitor for the effective implementation of Project Management Cycle, “GEDSI and Protection action plan of the Sikai Plus Project”; 
  • to support on generating and documenting evidence of GEDSI & Protection Responsive interventions and outcomes from the project; and to involve in capacity strengthening of the project team of PNGOs, Partners and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Gender, Women Development, Rural Development or in related field 
  • At least 5 years field experience in Project Management, GEDSI programming or the equivalent in the headquarters of a major NGO/INGO 
  • Experience of engaging partners’ staff and Government staff on GEDSI advocacy.
  • Experience in mainstreaming GEDSI in project management cycle.
  • Experience in preparing and leading training workshops.
  • Work experience with an NGO/INGO/UN agency.
  • Driving license of two-wheeler is obligatory.

Field Travel Requirement: 50% of the time
