Women’s Rehabilitation Centre (WOREC) is a national level NGO working for women's human rights and to ensure women empowerment through protection and promotion of human rights and social justice focusing on campaigns against violence against women, and women's economic, social and cultural rights nation-wide. Our working districts with offices are spread over Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Dang, Kailali, Rukum and additional working districts are Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Kanchanpur, Jagarkot, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchok and Saptari district. The Central Office is located in Lalitpur.
Position Title: Field Operation Officer
Duty Station: Dhangadhi, Kailali with frequent field visit of Kanchanpur, Dang, Rupandehi and Kapilvastu
The Field Operation Officer will support and/or coordinate the majority of the following operational functions of the sub-grantees -Finance, Human Resources (HR), Logistics, Procurement, Administration, under the supervision of Senior Admin and Finance Coordinator and Program Coordinator and in close coordination with, district coordinators and project staffs.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor operations of sub-grantee to ensure support activities are delivered with high-quality in an efficient manner. Identify and help address challenges that affect the proper operational management.
- Monitor and mentor the implementation of the sub-grants from operational perspective on monthly basis.
- Have frequent field visit and conduct regular orientations on financial and administrative management to Women Led Organization (WLOs) staffs and members.
- Support WLOs to prepare quarterly, semi-annually and annually financial reports and submit it to the concerned department on time.
- Effectively communicate with Program Coordinator, District Coordinator, Program Officer and Finance Coordinator for preparation of the monitoring and capacity enhancement plans to WLOs.
- Assist line managers in running the program activities by providing financial planning as requested and needed.
- Prepare till date budget Vs Actual Sheet of the sub-grant every quarter & send the same to the program team.
- Attend donor meetings as per the need.
- Support Kailali district management team for the smooth operation of organizational activities including administrative and procurement.
- Maintain accounts of inventories, fixed assets and all bank transactions; cross-verify/ perform physical verification from time to time.
- Prepare, revise and submit the budget, financial statement and report as required and Coordinate with Program Department to prepare the budget for the program.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and local donors in financial matters at branch level.
- Provide support and cooperation to the central office account and finance team during internal and External audits and support in preparing and providing all supporting documents as required.
- Take on roles as per the need of the organization.
- Follow the organizational policies including Gender Equality, PSEAH, Child Protection and practices in order to ensure the assertive and safe working environment.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or another relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in finance, human resources, logistics, or administration coordination position with progressive responsibilities.
- Experience with an NGO and working with CBOs preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), information and budget management systems.
- Required Languages – English proficiency preferred.
Travel - Must be willing and able to travel in the project areas up to 70%.
