Vacancy Announcement

Tuki Association Sunkoshi is a non-governmental organization (NGO) has been working rigorously with different development partners in Sindhupalchok district of Nepal. After the successful implementation of Suaahara-I program, now it also implementing USAID/ Helen Keller International supported Suaahara II Program in all 68 VDCs and 2 municipalities. This is a five-year (2016– 2021) integrated nutrition program, which aims to improve the nutritional status of mother and children by working in multidisciplinary sector including nutrition, hygiene, agriculture, health and multi-sector governance at the household and community level. 

Tuki Association Sunkoshi is seeking a dynamic, energetic, professional and highly qualified Nepali candidates to work in the above entitled project for the given position& places. 

JOB POSITION:  Field Coordinator (Suaahara II) - 1 position

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor in Public Health or Bachelor in Social Sciences with 3-5 years (Preference Master of Public Health) experiences in the development field and also literate on office package in computer.  

Job LOCATION: Based in Chautara/Thumpakhar , Sindhupalchok with frequent travel to the field

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field Coordinator (Suaahara II) will be responsible for all field level project management, reporting, assuring high program quality, MEAL, compliance and maintaining all coordination and linkages at district and local level line agencies e.g. District Health Office (DHO), District Development Committee (DDC), District Agriculture Development Office (DADO), District Livestock Service Office (DLSO),Women and Children Office and District Water and Sanitation Division Office (DWSDO), Suaahara-II district team and concern stakeholders. S/he will be fully responsible for effective program planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting and needs to support to conduct various trainings, workshops in district and community level. S/he will be responsible for ensuring quality and timely implementation of field activities and providing onsite coaching support to outreach staffs (Field Supervisors). S/he will conduct regular supportive supervision and monitoring of the field level activities and support other members of the team to prepare plan and produce / submit reports, Furthermore, collect and document important case studies/success stories periodically. 

PREFERENCES AND PRIORITY:

Preference will be given for the candidates having previous experience, knowledge and academic background in public health and nutrition. Moreover, working with children and mothers, experience in multi sectoral project management. S/he must be experienced in project cycle management tools and techniques. In addition, understanding of National Policy on nutrition and health program will be an asset. 

SKILLS/QUALITIES:

The candidate should be proactive, able to perform multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with good knowledge on computer programs and excellent command in oral and written English. Furthermore, ability and experience of managing number of subordinates and working in time pressure will also be an asset for this program.

JOB POSITION:  Field  Supervisor (Suaahara II) - 20 position

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least +2 or equivalent level education degree having CMA /HA /ANM / Nursing/JT/JTA with minimum 3 years of work experience in relevant field/subject.
  • Candidates who have previous experience working with Suaahara -I program need not have the additional academic qualification of CMA/HA /ANM / Nursing/JT/JTA. 
  • Candidate's work experience is count after completion of their academic degree in similar/not less than this position/ responsibility. Bachelor's degree in relevant subject is preferred. 

Job LOCATION: It is field base position and will be assigned in multi VDCs/municipalities of Sindhupalchok with regular   field and household visits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field Supervisor (Suaahara II) is responsible for the implementation of the program in VDC/ municipalities level.  S/he should be able to coordinate with VDC/ municipalities, health facilities, Village Development Committee (VDC), Agriculture and Livestock service centre, FCHVs, Health mother groups, 1000 days’ mothers, CAC, WCF, Schools and other local level stakeholders. S/he will work closely with the stakeholders for planning, implementation and monitoring including organizing meeting, orientation, training and other relevant activities in local level. S/he will be responsible for implementing and ensuring quality and timely implementation of activities and providing support to FCHVs, 1000 days mothers and health mother groups and VFMs. S/he will conduct regular supportive monitoring of the field level activities facilitate by FCHVs and other actors and prepare plan and produce / submit progress reports. Furthermore, collect important case studies/success stories periodically. 

PREFERENCES AND PRIORITY:

Top preference and priority will be given for the candidates having previous work experience of Suaahara (I) with Tuki Association Sunkoshi. The candidates having knowledge and experience on public health and nutrition, WASH & hygiene promotion, Agriculture and working with children and mothers, multi sectoral project implementation will be an asset.

The candidate should be proactive, able to perform multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision in community level. S/he should have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with good knowledge and skill on report writing, facilitation, coordination and basic computer. Furthermore, ability and experience of working in time pressure and in remote area will also be an asset for this program.

JOB POSITION: Admin Finance Officer (Suaahara II) - 1 position

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least Bachelors degree in Business Studies/ Business Administration or equivalent level education degree having minimum 3 years of work experience in Finance, Account and Administration Management.
  • Candidates who have previous Suaahara (I) USAID Fund management experience with Tuki in Finance/Account will be given preference.   
  • Candidate's work experience is count after completion of their academic degree in similar/not less than this position/ responsibility. Master degree in relevant subject is preferred. 

SKILLS/QUALITIES:

The candidate should be proactive, be able to perform multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision in Account and Financial management. S/he should have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with good knowledge and skill on Account keeping, documentation and financial reporting in computer software. Furthermore, ability and experience of working in time pressure will also be an asset for this program. Preference will be given with skill of using FAMAS software.
