JWAS-Nepal is a non-government and non-profit making social organization which works to uplift the standard of living for the women, children and other marginalized people of rural community and to improve their economic, health and social conditions by proper mobilization of local resources with community participation. It was established in 2050 B.S. (1993A.D.) in Dhanusha District. The organization was founded and is operated by a group of women social workers.

Janaki Women Awareness Society (JWAS) is a non-profit making non-governmental organization. It was established in 1993 in Dhanusha district of Nepal. The organization was formed and is operated by a group of women social workers. The formation of a democratic government (Nepal constitution 1990) provided space to the women social workers who were very much disturbed and concerned about the women and girls condition, social norms against child, girls, women violence, sexual and reproductive health, dowry system, conflict affected people, disabilities, discrimination against women and marginalized population. They decided to work in an organized way to uplift their economic, health, social and political conditions and JWAS was in existence.
Currently, the organization is planning to implement the Resilience for Women through Climate-smart Economic Transformation (RECET) focuses on building climate resilience for marginalized women in the drought-prone areas of Dhanusha, Madhesh Province, Nepal. The 18-month initiative aims to resilient communities through Enhanced technologies that empower women economically through climate-smart agriculture, micro-enterprises development and capacitate women-led assemblies actively engage in climate change action decision-making. In this regard, the project aims to develop a roster for the following consultant to roll-out the project effectively.
JWAS requests applications from qualified individuals with relevant academic qualifications as well as experience and expertise in the relevant field for short-term assignments mentioned below:
