1. Enumerators

Role Description

Alliance Asia Nepal is seeking Enumerators to conduct a survey as part of the Food Supply Chain Assessment Nepal project, in collaboration with the Kuehne Foundation and IFAD Nepal. Enumerators will play a critical role in conducting structured phone surveys, collecting accurate data from smallholder farmers, and ensuring the integrity of the research process.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful research while gaining hands-on experience in data collection and survey methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Survey and Data Collection

• Conduct phone surveys with smallholder farmers as part of the Food Supply Chain Assessment Nepal project.
• Collect accurate and reliable data using KoboToolBox.
• Ensure all responses are recorded systematically and meet quality standards.

2. Stakeholder Engagement

• Communicate effectively with respondents to gather relevant information.
• Maintain a professional and respectful approach while conducting survey.

3. Data Management and reporting 

• Manage large datasets, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Report any discrepancies or challenges encountered during data collection.
• Support the project team in reviewing and cleaning collected data.

4. Coordination

• Work independently while adhering to project timelines and guidelines.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members for effective operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum +2 (High School Diploma) or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Prior experience in field surveys, data collection, or research is preferred.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Basic proficiency in using data entry applications such as KOBO Toolbox.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in recording responses.
• Ability to work with large datasets.
