ADRA Nepal invites applications from qualified and experienced Nepalese Citizens for the following vacant positions:

1. Disaster Risk Management Coordinator- One Position

Station: based in Country Office, Sanepa, Lalitpur

DRM Coordinator is an experienced humanitarian professional responsible for innovative ways to increase the resilience of the vulnerable and marginalized community members; s/he will engage with donors for the development of new strategies and proposals and implement throughout the project cycle management to meet expected results.

Qualification and Competencies:

• Master’s degree’s in relevant field, PhD. in similar field is preferred, at least 5 years of professional experience on disaster risk management in INGO’s or, national/ international NGO along with experiences on humanitarian response demonstrated track record of conceptualizing projects and developing proposals for a wide range of donor agencies; ability to lead the concept note and proposal writing process including high level of competency in structuring ideas clearly in a logical framework and theory of change;ability to define problems, collect data establish fact and draw valid conclusions to accurately predict the achievements of the project objectives.

2. Technical Advisor- One Position

Station: based in Country Office with frequent field travel 

The Technical Advisor will be responsible to provide technical and operational support to the livelihood projects especially in climate change, biodiversity, ecosystem services and environment related interventions; he/she will work closely with Project Coordinator (PC) in implementation of LIRIC project and support in local stakeholder and networks coordination activities; he/she will provide technical advice to develop required guidelines, documentation of best practices and report writing; he/she will assist in preparing and consolidating required data as needed and facilitate monitoring and evaluation; the Advisor will be engaged in assisting in exploring opportunities in new projects, conducting need assessment, developing concept notes and proposals. 

Qualification and Competencies:

• Master's degree in Environmental Science or, related field, PhD. in similar field is preferred; at least 5 years of experience in implementation of climate change, environment, governance and biodiversity-based projects and actions. Experience in agriculture and livelihood will be added value; proven experience in developing concept notes and proposals for reputed/major donors; strong communication and collaboration skills, notably the ability to present complex issues and required action in a simple, relevant, appropriate, and practical way; ability to conduct need assessment and develop concept notes and proposals in formats of donors; willing to work within a team and independently.

3. Compliance Expert: One Position

Station: based in Country Office with frequent field travel 

Compliance Expert will work under the overall supervision of the Finance and Administration Director. Competencies: CA/ACCA plus audit experience of NGOs/INGOs for minimum 2 years from a recognized Audit firm or, Master’s degree in Business/CA finalist with minimum 4-year experience of Internal Audit; Good Organizing skills and systematic approach to work; high level of integrity; knowledge of accounting systems; understanding of Nepal Government tax rules; computer skills in Ms. word, Excel, outlook.
