Environment and Public Health Organization Established in 1990, ENPHO is a service-oriented, scientific, national non-governmental organization that envisages contributing to sustainable community development by combining research and action through integrated programs in the fields of environment and public health. ENPHO runs a government accredited laboratory and promotes eco-friendly technologies with the aim of establishing eco-societies. ENPHO develops and promotes integrated community based approaches for safe water, sustainable sanitation, solid waste management, hygiene behavior and improving indoor air quality monitoring to create healthy societies. Furthermore, knowledge-based education and advocacy campaigns help on achieving ENPHO's mission.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO) is a national NGO working on water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector as well as environmental issues like air pollution, wastewater treatment, solid waste management, etc. since 1990. ENPHO has intensive working experience on Fecal Sludge Management (FSM) and City-Wide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) as an implementor and technical support provider. The organization is working with Nepal Government to achieve the SDG sanitation goal. It has skilled personnel/professionals in sanitation to capacitate and utilize local resources in partnership with relevant stakeholders.

Under this backdrop ENPHO has been included as a Sub-Awardee of the project, “Citywide Inclusive Sanitation Scaling and Sanitation Innovation (Investment ID INV-028835)” funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The project aims to establish a nodal agency that can facilitate sector key stakeholders through capacity building to implement Citywide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) approach at the grassroots level. This project was started in November 2021 and will be ended in December 2025.

Purpose of the position

The overall objective of this position, Curriculum Development Officer (CDO) is to contribute to the project management team in developing different knowledge products (training modules/packages with all the required materials) in coordinating with subject matter experts and sector stakeholders to support capacity building of sector partners and local and central government staff specially on urban sanitation sector focusing on the Citywide Inclusive Sanitation approach.
