Job Title: Education Counsellor

Location: Kathmandu, Adwait Marga, Purano Buspark

Reports to: Managing Director

Job Overview:

We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and client-focused Education Counsellor to assist students in their educational journey. The Education Counsellor will provide expert advice and guidance to prospective students and their families, helping them make informed decisions about courses, universities, and study destinations. The role requires a deep understanding of global education systems, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to guide students based on their academic and personal aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Counselling:

• Provide one-on-one counselling sessions to students and parents, addressing their educational goals and aspirations.

• Guide students on selecting appropriate courses, universities, and study programs based on their interests, qualifications, and career objectives.

• Offer expert advice on application processes, visa requirements, scholarships, and accommodation options.

Application & Documentation Support:

• Assist students in the application process to universities or educational institutions.

• Review and proofread application forms, essays, and supporting documents.

• Help with preparation for entrance exams, interviews, and other requirements where applicable.

Market Research:

• Stay updated on trends in education, including new courses, universities, scholarship opportunities, and country-specific requirements.

• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of universities and colleges around the world.

• Provide accurate and timely information to students regarding course offerings, career outcomes, and student life.

Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with universities, schools, and other educational institutions.

• Represent the consultancy at education fairs, webinars, and other events to promote our services and build new partnerships.

Student Follow-Up & Support:

• Provide ongoing support to students even after their placement, assisting with settling in and adjusting to their new academic environment.

• Track student progress and provide guidance on academic challenges or life adjustments.

Administrative & Reporting Tasks:

• Maintain detailed records of student interactions, applications, and follow-ups in the CRM system.

• Prepare regular reports on student outcomes, application success rates, and market trends for internal use.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Proven experience as an Education Counsellor, Study Abroad Consultant, or a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of international education systems, university programs, and visa processes.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to build rapport with students and parents, and offer personalized guidance.

• Familiarity with application platforms, student databases, and other digital tools.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple student cases simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with international students or in study-abroad consultancy.

• Knowledge of a second language is a plus.

• Familiarity with different visa application processes (e.g., for the UK, US, Canada, Australia).

Work Conditions:

Full-time, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Sunday to Friday.

Occasional evening or weekend work, especially during peak seasons.
