DCA is a Danish development and humanitarian organisation and has existed globally for more than 100 years. We work for the poor, vulnerable and socially excluded communities including women, Dalits, persons with disabilities, and gender & sexual minorities. DCA in Nepal works across three thematic areas (i) Fight Inequalities – with its focus on the empowerment of socially excluded communities; (ii) Build Resilient Communities – with a strong focus on enterprises and economic development, and (iii) Save Lives – which is focused on disaster risk reduction and humanitarian response. Across all these themes, we ensure that Climate Action, Gender Equality and Youth Empowerment are strongly mainstreamed.

Research consultant for GCF readiness
As part of its growing emphasis on climate action, DCA seeks to strengthen its climate action by aligning with Green Climate Fund (GCF) interventions under their Strategic Plan (2024-2027) and collaborating with GCF stakeholders; National Designated Authority (NDA), accredited entities and other relevant key stakeholders in DCA CO’s. For this, proactive engagement at the national level with relevant stakeholders will leverage and provide DCA with valuable knowledge, networking, and experience in climate action.
This Terms of Reference (ToR) is developed for qualified consultant to support DCA Nepal in conducting a comprehensive assessment and positioning DCA Nepal for GCF readiness.
