TPO Nepal seeks competent, committed, and result-oriented consultant for the following criteria:

Duration: 15 working days

Terms of Reference (TOR) for Consultant: Development of External Communication Strategy

The primary objective of this consultancy is to support TPO Nepal in developing an external communication strategy. This strategy should strengthen TPO's capacity to effectively communicate with external stakeholders, enhance the organization’s visibility, and improve its outreach impact.

Expected Key Deliverables:

  1. To analyze and address current gaps and challenges in TPO Nepal’s external communication, social media presence, branding and uptake among stakeholders to strengthen overall engagement and visibility of the organization.
  2. To facilitate key communication strategy development activities, including internal strategy discussions, stakeholder meetings, and other related activities/events.
  3. To draft and finalize a comprehensive external communication strategy with practical steps that effectively align with TPO Nepal’s strategic plan.
  4. To establish clear, consistent communication guidelines for printed and online content and advocacy materials that reflect TPO Nepal’s mission and values across all platforms and communication channels.
  5. To develop guidelines for establishing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders.
  6. To develop indicators to assess the impact of communication strategies in organizational growth and use data to make improvements.

Skill, Qualification and Experience

  1. Bachelors’ Degree in Mass Communication or Public Relations, Journalism, Social Media Management or other relevant field. Master’s degree is preferable.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in external communication, public relations, or digital media, with proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies for NGOs or similar organizations.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in social media strategy, branding, and stakeholder engagement.
  4. Experience in consulting or advisory roles related to communication strategy development, particularly in the non-profit or development sector.
  5. Familiarity with developing communication guidelines for both print and digital media, ensuring alignment with organizational values and mission.
  6. Experience working on organizational visibility projects, including brand enhancement, advocacy communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  7. Experience in conducting stakeholder meetings, internal discussions, and working collaboratively across various teams and with senior leadership.
