Job Specification:

Education level: Diploma/TSLC in Civil Engineering

Experience:

At Least 5 years experience for Diploma in Civil Engineering and At least 9 years of experience for TSLC in Civil Engineering. Experience in rural WASH infrastructures and solar lifting water supply projects. The Construction Quality Supervisor in conjunction with Social Mobilizer will have to mobilize and motivate the local community in support, monitor the WASH construction activities and their sustainability.

• Must be professional, detail-oriented, time management skills.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to work with a vulnerable and marginalized group.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
• Good technical skills in terms of Drinking Water Supply projects.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Package(excel, powerpoint and word), Autocad.
• Should have a 2 wheelers driving license.

Job Description:

• Oversee the effective implementation of the project in coordination with the Provincial coordinator and Program Manager.
• Conduct Scheme Surveys and facilitate in design estimate preparation of the project;
• Making sure technical designs and drawings are followed correctly during the implementation phase;
• Training of community members, VMW/Pump Operator(PO) of WUSC in operation and maintenance of installed systems including water supply, solar, and water treatment.
• Assessing the environmental impacts and risks connected to projects.
• Managing, directing, and monitoring technical progress during each phase of the project.
• Judging whether the project is workable by assessing materials, costs, and time requirements.
• Regular reporting of the technical progress and activities to the direct supervisor.
• Responsible for all the technical and non-technical training to be provided to the community members in each phase of the project.
• Make sure that all concerned procurement and logistics policies are followed during the project implementation.
• Creatively solve problems that arise within communities and local authorities in providing WASH solutions.
• Ensure that all project activities are in accordance with the budgets available and being implemented on schedule.
• Coordinating with local skilled and unskilled laborers to ensure the project is being done according to the design.
• Any duties assigned by the supervisor.

This position is based in Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Province of Nepal

Priority will be given to the candidates from Adibasi/ Janjati/ Dalit/ Female.
