Position: Community Facilitator (5)
Location: Field based (Karjanha Municipality (1), Sakhuwanankarkatti RM (1), Laxmipur Patari RM (1) - Siraha and TilathiKoiladi RM (1) and Chhinnamasta RM (1)- Saptari)
DidiBahini is a Nepali non-governmental development organization working in the areas of gender equality, education, human rights, peacebuilding and social justice, having a strategic focus on promoting lifelong learning, peacebuilding and equitable and sustainable development through women's empowerment for social transformation. Its major interventions are directed toward poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged groups of people.

Job Summary
Community Facilitator is responsible for implementation of the activities in the communities and regularly reporting the progress/status; coordinating and networking with stakeholders at local levels; supporting the project team for organizing community level events, participating in periodic review and planning meetings. This position directly reports to District Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with community members, local government bodies (Ward/Rural Municipality), and community-based organizations (CBOs) to strengthen community structures and ensure active mobilization.
- Regularly empower and engage women's farmer groups and networks, promoting their active participation in decision-making processes and development initiatives.
- Assist district coordinators in organizing, coordinating, and managing community and district-level events, ensuring smooth logistics and overall coordination.
- Oversee and support the effective mobilization of catalysts and psychosocial counselors conducting training sessions or providing psychosocial counselling support to vulnerable groups, ensuring their activities are monitored and progress is reported regularly.
- Encourage and motivate local communities to actively participate in advocacy and collective bargaining processes, supporting community-driven initiatives and strengthening rural women’s voices in governance and resource allocation.
- Assist in conducting surveys and assessments at the community level, gathering critical data for tracking project progress and identifying needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including meeting minutes, receipt notes, reports, and other relevant records of field-level activities and actions.
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of detailed reports, case studies, success stories, photos, and video documentation, ensuring all project activities are well-documented and reported to the District Coordinator.
- Monitor and follow up on community-level programs and services, ensuring proper documentation, communication, and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide programmatic support through regular monitoring, follow-up activities, and assist with administrative and financial tasks at the district level, ensuring compliance with project guidelines.
- Represent DidiBahini at the ward and municipality levels, ensuring that the organization’s initiatives are well-represented and stakeholders are effectively engaged.
- Participate actively in planning and review meetings, presenting updates on community-level progress, challenges, lessons learned, and emerging opportunities.
- Perform additional tasks beyond the project scope as assigned by the organization, demonstrating flexibility, commitment, and versatility in fulfilling the organization's goals.
Key qualifications and competencies:
- Minimum of Intermediate level education in a relevant field.
- Experience in community-based development or similar projects is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of gender equality, gender-based violence, and socio-economic issues in the Madhesh Province is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both Nepali and English.
- Demonstrated empathy and commitment to working with women, vulnerable groups, and marginalized communities.
- Proven capacity to engage effectively with local government units, CBOs, and other stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to conduct frequent field visits within the designated working areas.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
