Position: Community Facilitator -1

Location: Field Based, Godawari Municipality Ward No.- 3, 4, 10, 11 & 13.

Starting Date: 7 August 2024

Duration of Contract: Fixed term till December 2024 (with the possibility of extension)

Gross Salary: NRs. 2,88,550- annum (commensurate upon qualification and experience)

Lele Community Development Center (LCDC) is non-profit, non- political, non-governmental organization established in 2011. The working area of Valley Area Community Development Project are Godawari Municipality-and Konjosom Rural Municipality- Nallu in Lalitpur district and Tarkeshwor Municipality-Sangla, Kavresthali & Phutung and Tokha Municipality-Jhor Mahankal in Kathmandu district. LCDC program activities are focused towards implementing income generation activities, improving health and WASH facilities and services, enhancing access to quality education, and organizing awareness raising campaigns and advocacy related programs. In addition to that, LCDC is also dedicated towards conducting child protection programs, sponsorship services and environmental management programs. The major target is to provide support for sponsored children to receive quality education, have access to health care services aiming to enhance their economic conditions by covering all the selected sectors i.e. Education, Health & WASH and livelihood Child Rights Human Rights Funding Support from Good Neighbors International Nepal for improving Education, socio-economic, health and wash to targeted Area

With technical and financial support of GNI Nepal, Lele Community Development Center is implementing “Integrated Community Development Project (ICDP)” in Valley (Lalitpur and Kathmandu District) since 2016.  Under ICDP project, LCDC is hiring the Community Facilitator to conduct activities 

The incumbent will be mainly focused on the following major duties and responsibilities.

Activities to be conducted (Job Description)

1.

Home Visit & Counseling

  • Home Visit of sponsored children and updates the information
  • Provide counseling to sponsored children & their families.
2.

ACL, APR, GML

  • Conduct annual child letter, annual progress report, gift money and letter preparation.
3.

Special Case Management

  • Find out the cases for special support and report to the respective personnel.
4.

Community Mobilization

  • Facilitate participation of community members in project intervention and local planning.
5.

Assist Implementation of Project Activities

  • Implement child protection activities at community level 
  • Assist child club in conducting regular meetings, co-curricular activities and awareness raising events.
  • Assist implementation of project activities (Education, Public Health and Income generation) at community level.
6.

Observation, follow up and reporting

  • Observe utilization status of support provided by projects 
  • Collect required information & data of projects
  • Prepare & submit periodical reports.

Qualification and required skills

  • Minimum qualification: Intermediate (10+2) with at least one year of experience in a relevant field. 
  • Experience in working with Schools and the community. 
  • Should have community mobilization and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English, Nepali, and local languages. 
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines.

NOTES:

  • Locals (Godawari Municipality Ward No. 3, 4, 10, 11 and 13), especially women and members of Ex-Sponsored child family of GNI Nepal, ethnic or marginalized communities are encouraged to apply for this position.
