Tewa – Women's Fund of Nepal invites applications from qualified, visionary and committed Nepali citizens for the position of Communication & Documentation Officer (C&D), who shall actively participate in communicating and documenting (C&D) for Tewa's programmes, progress and works to all stakeholders. The C&D officer will work closely with Executive Director, different Programme Managers and Officers.
Duty Station: Tewa, Lalitpur (with occasional field visits)
Detailed Job description:
- Produce, develop, write, edit and design communication materials, including website content, social media content, donor report, proposal developments, presentations, annual reports, success stories, articles, videos, and infographics for both web-based, and traditional media
- Establish or maintain an up-to-date documentation part for communication materials including publications, press releases and clippings, photographs, audio-visual materials, web resources etc.
- Handle all social media platforms, website and official email system
- Be the focal point to coordinate brand compliance and contribute to organization's internal communication mechanisms
- Develop communication work plan for each fiscal year in collaboration with the team
- Implement the tasks in the programme communication plan and strategy as assigned.
- Assist Executive Director for drafting reports as per the requirement
- Communicate with necessary vendors to produce promotional materials and printing materials
- Communicate with third party regarding Tewa's promotion if approached.
- Ability to handle last-minute changes and work efficiently under time constraints
- Take up roles and responsibilities according to the needs of the Communication unit and organization
Education Qualification and Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Development Communication, Public Relations or related field with at least 2 year of professional work experience in communication, print and broadcast media or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills in English and Nepali language.
- Experience in designing and implementing communication plans
- Experienced with website backend management (such as WordPress), social media management and knowledge of various communication tools, platforms and technologies to perform the duties
- Good of handling DSLR camera for photography and production of short video stories.
- Knowledge of graphic designing and video editing skills in online platforms like Canva or InDesign or alternatives is required
- Prior working knowledge on women issues, human rights issues, specifically relating to gender equality and diversity awareness is an asset
Remuneration and Benefits:
Compensation will be based on Tewa’s organizational policies.
