ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY

Okhaldhunga Community Hospital (OCH) has been serving the community since its establishment as a small clinic in 1962. This 50-bed general hospital provides affordable, quality, and cost-effective health care to the people of Okhaldhunga and its surrounding community.  The hospital is now seeking an experienced and qualified candidate for the following position to ensure the successful implementation of the Community Based Inclusive Development (CBID) Project.

Position: CBID Team Leader (Grade 6-7)

Duty Station:  Siddhicharan Municipality, Okhaldhunga 

Required Number: One

Type of contract: Full time

Key responsibilities: The CBID Team Leader will be responsible for the safety, security and successful implementation of the project in the respective local government. The team leader must maximise the organisation's value, enhance liaison, strengthen collaboration with district and local stakeholders, and lead the CBID components.

Qualification and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Rural Development, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of working experience in community based inclusive development and disability rehabilitation, or inclusive development work with relevant training.
  • At least three years of working experience in project management with a particular focus on community based inclusive development, community based rehabilitation, disability inclusive development and systems that support effective programming.
  • Ability to understand the situation of People with Disabilities (PwD), their families and have empathy towards them.
  • Willingness and ability to work in remote areas and challenging environments.
  • Strong skills in coaching, mentoring, capacity building, training and facilitation.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of national/international policies, programmes, priorities and issues related to disability and community based inclusive development in Nepal.
  • Strong experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting.
  • Strong computer skills and communication skills in Nepali and English, both written and verbal.
