EoI - Call for the Expression of Interest
SNV is a not-for-profit international development organisation that applies practical know-how to make a lasting difference in the lives of people living in poverty. We use our extensive and long-term in-country presence to apply and adapt our top-notch expertise in agri-food, energy and water to local contexts.
Under the Energy sector, SNV Nepal is implementing “EnDev- Strengthening the Market Development System for Clean Cooking in Nepal”. This is the EnDev-funded project that aims to increase access to clean cooking in the communities of Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and a few parts of Lumbini provinces. SNV intends to replicate and innovate electric cooking interventions within new or existing geographical regions, therefore, would like to conduct an assessment to ‘Review the Public and Private Sector Initiatives and Available Digital Solutions to Accelerate Electric Cooking Promotion in Nepal’. Therefore, SNV Nepal invites interested and eligible consulting firms to express their interest in conducting this assessment.
SNV Nepal, through this assessment, expects a comprehensive study to review and evaluate policies, the enabling environment, the various business models and supply chain approaches that underpin the sector, and inform SNV's strategic planning for promoting efficient electric cookstoves. This assessment also aims to evaluate the current effectiveness of the e-cooking digital platform and pinpoint areas and approaches for improvement to enhance its usability and impact.
Eligibility Criteria for the applicant firm:
- Updated registration and legal documents, VAT registered, including the latest tax-clearance certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience and have conducted at least two similar assignments in the last three years of total value more than NPR 2 million.
A detailed ToR of the assignment will be made available to eligible firms screened through this EoI call. The EoI should be submitted with cover letter, firm’s profile (highlighting similar assignments), copy of registration documents and tax clearance certificate through email to nepal@snv.org The applicant firm should write “EoI for Review of Electric Cooking Initiatives and Digital Solutions in Nepal” in the subject line of the email
Deadline for EoI submission: Wednesday, 24th July 2024, 5:00 PM. SNV reserves the right to cancel or postpone the whole process without providing any reasons whatsoever.
